What is The Breakfast Club about?
The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American independent teen coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes. It stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. The film tells the story of five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention overseen by their authoritarian vice-principal.

You know what, everyone seems to hate this scene but nobody seems to realize that Claire didn’t give Allison anything aside from the makeup. Those are her clothes and accessories she either had in her bag or was already wearing. Everyone is hating on Allison for being herself because they liked her tortured look better. You’re putting Allison in the same box everyone else at school put her in. That’s what this scene represents, Allison expressing herself in a different way that’s still a part of her identity since she brought all of those things with her… and everyone hates it because it’s not what they want her to look like.

I love this scene from the movie and the background music, Love Theme. You can even hear the theme music much more loudly than the other same clips that have been uploaded on youtube as well, which makes the video even better because you can get the emotional feel of the scenes even better.

@@docsouth7823 dude the entire way she acted in the movie was not ''ladylike''. she looked like that because she didn't act ladylike at all or care about being feminine and didn't bother looking like a normal ''princess'' girl like claire. this whole makeover thing made her character shit and took all the personality away from it just so she would appeal to the other guy. its not like her at all. you are just looking at her in a sense of looking feminine or not, not how her outside appearance reflects how she acts inside, which is acting smallminded.

Saw someone say once that just because she let Claire do her make up and style her hair doesn't mean she's gonna dress or look that way again, also she probably was already wearing the pink top under her black sweater or had it in her bag But yeah as someone who likes goth girls ive always loved her dark look better

I have seen people with different reactions to Aliison's "makeover" and thought that she "sold out" to look more conventional, I think it's more about experimentation & trying something new, heck, she may just go back to being her "basketcase" self come Monday, for all that we know. More importantly, she allowed another fellow school mate to do something nice for her. PS: I just love that background synth music as Allison makes her reveal, so so 80's.
