The older formulations have a silver atomizer, and the newer ones have a black atomizer, and I'm guessing the jewel on the Armaf tag just fell off before packaging since these bottles aren't too well made. So, knowing those two things, it's not fake, just a different formulation.

Neither of those bottles are fake. Firstly, there are made in France and made in UAE bottles. There are several other differences too. Silver/black sprayer, silver/black collar, silver/black chain, silver/black medallion and the bottle can have any combination of these color variations. That missing bling on your bottle's medallion: my best guess is it's a quality control issue. The fading silver letter on the side: that's very common to Armaf. Some bottles have fading letter out of the box! For example my Le Parfait bottle was already fading and I've heard similar stories about Tres Nuit. Smell variation between CdNIM batches are also real. They have toned the smell towards more citrus lately. Bonus question: is your bottle made in France or UAE? What is the batch date? What is the batch number? You might need a flashlight to see them! :)

There are two different versions available, one is made in UAE (with smaller chain), and other one is made in France (with longer chain). Info will be mentioned on the sticker with batch code etc. And yes they've changed the atomizer as well, with some bottles you'll get a silver and with some you'll get a black. Looks genuine to me.

Hello, its not fake brother. This depends upon batch variation. If you'd smell the 2 side by side you surely will find some differences in the perfume but the overall body will remain same. What I can suggest is to test the longevity of the perfume which shall be of an average 6-8hours

I believe they changed the atomizer from silver to black for 2017 batches. These newer batches have more pineapple too. I have a 2016 batch of Aventus and the 2017 batch of CDNIM and they smell practically the same. CDNIM is sharper because it's an EDT (more alcohol) versus EDP. I've never smelled any other CDNIM batch, but heard the opening was harsh lemon with older batches. Your bottle certainly shouldn't smell of only alcohol and leather.

What's the month of your 2017 CDNIM batch? Fragrantica reviews indicate the Feb. 2017 batch was weak and the subsequent batches got stronger. I have a May 2016 batch (older bottle with silver nozzle) that's quite strong. They may have changed the nozzle because of some of the older nozzles were malfunctioning. Which vendor did you buy your bottle from? When I purchased it, only a few Ebay sellers had it. Now I would probably buy from Maxaroma.

According to a search , SNM LLC shares the same phone # with Perfumemoments.com. I try to stay away from the 3rd party vendors on Amazon, Walmart, Jet, Sears, etc unless I've heard of them before. That's why I'm surprised that SteveRandom was worried about Maxaroma as they're a known commodity in the fragrance community. Thanks for providing the batch date. I've been after Fragantica to create fields for batch dates and place of purchase in their review area. Reviews are really meaningless without batch codes or dates.

I just got my second bottle from another online store this time (COSMETICS NOW) This one seems fake compared to the first which smelled and performed great. Noticable differences, firstly the Cap doesn't fit well. The fonts on the front side of the bottle look slightly smudged, Italic and bold, the bottle is completely opaque unlike the original where you can see the juice with some light. Lastly the fragrance smells nice however slightly different. Not sure if this is a fake bottle or just inconsistency in the manufacturing or batch. What im keen to see now is the performance and don't care about the rest as long as it performs well.

Avoid discounters at all costs I’ve gotten Versace Eros and Paco Rabbane 1 Million and both perform poorly(Eros 2 hours of projection and completely gone at 8 hours and 1 million 2 hours of projection and completely gone by 5 hours).It really isn’t worth it.

Same here with Eros, new 2017 bottles don't last that long as compared to previous batches, But use it for clubbing only so 2-3 hours of projection is ehh, I use CDIN for daily use as 6 hours of projection and more than 12 hours of longevity but yeah depends upon weather condition n stuff.

It's not necessarily the discounters. Subsequent batches of many fragrances get reformulated and made weaker. They all abide by IFRA rules and when a new suggestion or ban is introduced, these bottles get reformulated. You've got to jump on the good fragances when they're first issued.

Nah. CDNIM quality control are bullshit. Especially on The inconsistency of the juice in some of the batches are real. All of them are real, but the company itself didn't do their job properly. I have CDNIM. The first one was beast, the second one 2022 batch) was weak interm of its SPL, only hint OF smokiness with a weak scent of lemon. Longevity was 6 hours, , but projection and scent was weak. Because I'm afraid i bought a fake, i bought another one from a reputable legit seller at my place. And shockingly it was the same as the second bottle. Weak as f.. The only difference is, the third one have more smokiness compared to the second one. So this confirmed me enough that armaf didn't really do a good quality control on their products.

It's not a fake, it's the real thing but it's just a new formulation, I got mine from the main supplier of armaf fragrances in my country and it looks the same, as for the smell imo is more pleasant in the opening with a more prominent pineapple and less of the infamous harsh lemon note but the performance is weaker than the old one.

Read the reviews. They're all over the place. One with the same month of 2017 is saying it's weak while another is saying it's strong. how is the smell and the performance and whats your production date ? mine is PD: 10/2017 you find it at the bottom its in the glas maybe you need your smartphone flashlight to see it. the smell of mine is really good but the performance is bad

Same batch man but the performance is pretty good,i get around solid 7-8 hrs,smell is nice,little harsh on the opening which i don't mind,after 15 minutes thru the drydown,i'd say 80% close to aventus.

I sent back a !0/2017 batch because it was weak and i also had a 12/2017 bottle that was stronger and had a silver nozzle rather than the black nozzle. The box look used,, the insert cardboard was torn, the atomizer assembly moved and it looked like it was repacked and resealed. This past week, I bought a 3/2018 bottle from Amazon and immediately was given credit. Not only was the scent very weak but once you look at the bottle and box, you'll know that something was wrong.. He just has the later bottle and should have checked the Basenotes or Fragrantica reviews and forum threads for detailed information that's been up for months. Maxaroma is one of the rare vendors that will actually tell the customer the batch date before purchasing and that's a big check in their column as far as I'm concerned.

I had to call him first and ask him to reserve a piece for me since they're selling out really quick. I got a Made in UAE 04/2018 batch as printed on the bottom of the box.

I think what's happening is that some sellers are getting bottles that have been tampered with and are being partially refilled with a liquid of some sort. You'll read about a batch date being strong from one person and the same one being weak from another. I've returned several bottles because it was obvious the bottles and boxes had been opened before- even though they were completely sealed. You have to carefully inspect the box and bottle when you receive it. Here's what I looked fo in my caser: 1) Even though the box was sealed in cellophane, it was obvious it was repacked 2) Always see if you need to pump once or twice before any juice comes out. If you get a great spray on the first pump, it's been used before 3) Check the bottle under a light for scratches (front and back) 4) Is there any extra give in the nozzle and atomize assembly? 5) Does the box look worn. I had one where the flaps appeared to have been opened about 20 times. There was alot of "wear" in the creases.
