It’s all metaphorical. He’s been sober since December 2007. On the set of 8 Mile in 2001 between helping with the script, acting, writing music, recording, and producing the soundtrack he was only sleeping two hours or less a day and he started taking sleeping pills so that he could sleep. He became addicted to them and when his best friend Proof died April 2006 his addiction just really escalated until he overdosed and almost died in 2007 and went into a coma for a few weeks. He went into rehab and got out early 2008 and he’s been sober since, no drugs or alcohol. His sponsor is his friend Elton John and as a show of friendship when Elton John got married EMINEM sent a gift, a matching pair of solid gold, diamond encrusted cock rings in a carrying case on a red velvet pillow.

I still find interesting the fact that one of his best friends and sponsor is Elton John, they are 2 people you would think would have nothing to do with each other at all. As previously stated this a nod to the slim shady persona from earlier in his career. But there are so many levels to this video. he talks about inner demons at the end. While the video touches on various topics plaque-ing the world. He picks up the Bazooka from a pile of school books to take out the armed adversary. The product placement phone he's being filmed on. The alcohol references. The the rehab/mental patients spinning in the chair with bleached blonde hair who is played George formally of the REACT channel before all the controversy and was one of the many that quit the channel. George also plays the Eminem fan with the pale blue bandana wanting autograph. Eminem is also standing on a pile his revival album, which he and many fans consider by far his worst album, then he's buring his former self in the trunk. Like i said, levels to this video.

Eminem's rugged look is something he adopted after The Marshall Mathers LP 2(2013), the album Rap God is from, with the release of Revival(2017), which beat Relapse(2009) as his lowest rated and most hated album "why are you making out with a basketball?" because they made visual elements in relation to his lyrics "lick the balls" "i'm in a mental hospital" "you just pulled a pistol on the guy with a missile launcher" "like a liar's pants i'm on fire" Cole Bennett managed to invite Mike Tyson to take part in the music video since they were making references to Eminem's older songs and projects throughout the music video. The reason they had Mike was Eminem's lyrics on Just Don't GIve a F*** ("You gettin' knocked the **** out like Mike Tyson") which plays in the parking lot during Em and Mike's short convrsation Eminem's been completely sober and hasn't touched alcohol or drugs since 2008, after a near death overdose in 2007 If you want more Juice WRLD check out Doomsday by Juice and Cordae. It was recorded as some sort of freestyle with both when Juice was alive, but they apparently hadn't had the chance to release it until recently. THe music video is 10/10, a single take type where Cordae plays both himself and Juice as his face is changed with a deepfake

Just kidding, my friend. But seriously, you forgot to mention that part 2 of that song comes with a music video, too! Trust me, you want to take advantage of it. It's got everything - drama, action, comedy, romance (just kidding, that's not Eminem's thing). So, go ahead and read my comment for the whole story. You won't regret it!

Lots of people have mentioned that em has been clean for a long time. Juice passed during the filming of an earlier version of this video, some of the people in the video have said that they were waiting to film some Juice parts and he didn't show up. They later learned why he didn't arrive for work. Eminem rewrote the song to break his own record and comment on some of the darker pieces of his past, and the industry as a whole. He broke the record so that Juice would be immortalized on the track.

Rap continues to grow as a legitimate art form. It is well beyond the early gangsta 'shock ya' level and has spawned several discernible branches each with its own styles and conventions and forms of messages. Eminem can easily claim to be at the pinnacle of rap skill today and this is a good example of that. And learn a lesson from Juice WRLD, boys and girls. Don't fall into the addictive drug trap. It's all fun and games until you are dead.

@@guytansbariva2295 lmao nobody says this about “classical” music detailing battles and murder or any other kind of music. It’s a dog whistle for racists.

@@decrulez Haha ...classical music? Yeah, maybe 300 years ago. Rap is the only genre around that talked about killing, rape, shooting, gangs, drugs, F the man, F the government, etc. Go back to the rap songs of the 90's, and how many young listeners ended up killing people. It's disgusting. Many of those brothers are still in prison, or else they've been executed. Now, rap is toned down because it's all about making money, but it's still violent and misogynistic. The hard core "cop killer" stuff is still out there. Just makes Blacks look bad on the world stage, not that they don't have a horrible reputation as it is. 🤣

'Evil half of the Bad Meets Evil' literally just a reference to another of his collaborations with Royce da 5'9" which of course you won't get if you haven't heard his other stuff. This is why Em is the GOAT, his songs not only kill on their own but they have so much added meaning if you've been following him since the beginning or have a grander knowledge of Rap history.

An eample of Em's lyrical acrobatics here: "Fill 'em with the venom and eliminate 'em Other words I Minute Maid 'em." First line can also be heard as: "Fill 'em with the venom and I lemonade 'em" because Minute Maid makes lemonade, and some animals inject a venom that liquefies the innards of their prey, which is then consumed, like lemonade out of a Minute Maid can. It's Em's lyrical version of "I eat fools like them for breakfast, and they nourish me" (by giving him more material to turn into rap songs). The man is a genius with vocabulary! 😳
