❤ Using what you have. Nothing wrong with that at all. Money is tight nowadays for most people and we all have to make do with whatever we have on hand. Even if you have a great wood heater it has to draw air from somewhere else to go up the pipe. Usually anywhere that air can get into the house. That is why people who have a wood stove or heater ALWAYS enjoy being close to them in clod weather and you'll always feel a draft hitting you when you are away from the heater lol.

Hi Denise, Marcel and Gage you got this y'all. It is very cold supposed to have snow Friday in western Arkansas. I fell up the stairs before. Closing the upstairs will help keep the heat in. Good idea . Enjoy all your videos. That will be great to have a dutch door. Love the humor. Got my tree down too. It feels like the North pole. 15 for lows. I had to put my electric blanket on rhe bed. Have a great day, stay warm and God Bless ❤

I like your ideas! The styrofoam seems better than the pink stuff around the windows! And that big hole is closed up till 😮spring and summer hits. It won’t be that long. Keep moving forward…!!! I am currently laid up in the hospital with an arm broken in 2 places. I’m too embarrassed to say how I did that … it was something stupid!! Surgery will be tomorrow. See, life is not so bad😉

Large pieces of cardboard can help with keeping cold air out also. My patio door needs recaulking & I feel a draft so I used 2 large pieces from my massager box., at least don't feel the draft as I walk by! (don't think I can use caulk gun to hold the rope like stuff so will use bathroom caulk!( that is permanent ) But cardboard is easy to remove if sunny & put back at night! A sheet of plastic behind the blankets over opening might keep more cold air out too!

Have a friend that has the exact same thing in her house. She built a frame out of 1 x 2's and covered it with plastic. Hinged it on the wall side and put a hook on it to keep it open in the summer. It sits on the frame at the very top of the stairs then you don't have to worry about all the sides and such. When you need to go up it is light enough to just push up and hold till you get to the top and easy to pick up when you are at the top. Works AMAZING. Her temporary fix has lasted about 10 years. If you want to get fancy get some sticky foam insulation and put it around the edges.

There is absolutly nothing wrong with "trailer parking" some stuff now to get yall by. anyone that doesnt think so hasnt been there to do that yet. I can make you a couple of steel lids for the master cylinders if you can trace the sealing edge deminsions , the height of the bubble , location of the return line fittings and the size of the fittings for the hoses. That would be safer than sending an original cap through the mail . I can make you some "forever caps". It would be a gift to yall. send me a drawing through email or messenger either way and Ill get right on them.
