I'm back here again, but this time I am trying to save this ancient house from getting swallowed up by ivy. I love Ivy, but this has been growing on the house for so long that it's now growing inside the property and is causing the roof to leak, and also damaging the structure of the building.
This house dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, so it needs protecting.
It has now managed to root itself directly to the roof tiles as the leaf matter and debris has built up for so long that there is now a layer of compost like material on top of the tiles. This has caused the Ivy to actually root directly on the the building. So it must be removed!
Will the Ivy put up a fight? or will I be able to save this house from potential damage from the elements?
