First, I like how this chapter clarified that the Gorosei aren't actually demons. The Celestial Dragons barring Imu are just humans, but humans can be monsters. Second, the Saturn impersonation plan can really only backfire because not only won't the Gorosei be fooled, but several vice admirals know as well. Specifically the ones actively transporting the Seraphim.

Taking into consideration both what you said about the pacifista chain of command, AND that sadistic 'wow' factor of Devon copying "soon-to-be" dead people and flabbergasting the deceased's loved ones as she shows up as them, just to take the piss (as Devon previously did with Absalom, that tiger bastard), I'd say the target was originally Stella. Sentomaru is pretty cool tho. Another thing that would get very confusing in terms of "in lore metaphysics" would be Devon copying the Satellites due to their "special conditions"; they each have a conscience yeah, but their "mind" is a big ass brain lopped off somewhere else, their body is straight up metal/synthetic, and don't get me started on their soul (because honestly, I wouldn't even know at this point). But I guess if Zoan DFs have a "mind" of their own, who am I to question android-esque hive minds.

Oda learned from his mistake of 'keeping Jack alive for Wano' and killed Saturn in a satisfying plot-relevant manner. If Jack died when Zunisha smacked him into the ocean, he'd be an overall better character; but no he's the 1 billion berry Jobber who lost EVERY single fight ever. Jack had Zero narrative purpose in Wano other than to lose to everyone. He could have literally been replaced by a Tobni Roppo and nothing would have changed. So similarly getting rid of Saturn here is a perfect way to reset the threat level of the Gorosei; to up the menace of Imu; to Karmically smack his ass for all the terrible stuff he did; AND give story intrigue on what the consequences of his death are (Garling, Bakckbeard, etc)

Saturn may not have been the BEST villain ever, but to me he was definitely one of the most SATISFYING. Seeing him truly screw everything up at ever single angle and the flashbacks showing us that literally everything was his fault again and again was truly hilarious. And of course his particular "Old man hits machine with stick" brand of 'science' was incredible. Honestly it kinda made me feel bad for Imu. You need better friends my guy.

Since the latest episode was the anime adaptation of Sai & Leo harming Charlos, I think think the upcoming chapter should give us an update on the Grand Fleet, which will include their respective reactions to Vegapunk's message, as well as whether or not they'll believe that their Emperor was responsible for the scientist's demise like Leo did. Plus, we see Hajrudin being the main focus of that part since the next big Arc will take place in his homeland - Elbaf. Speaking of Charlos, we could get another scene at Marie Geoise, which could involve Charlos's sister - Sharlia being curious about what their ancestors really did during the void century. Followed by Garling's next course of action, as well as being introduced to more Holy Knights, especially showing how powerful they really are.

Seeing how Imu can just replace them so easily raised so many questions for me about the Gorosei. It’s been said that Gomu Gomu fruit was a myth to them so they may not have been around during the Void Century, if that’s the case then when did the old Gorosei before them get replaced and why? Were they all just regular Celestial Dragons who got appointed or were they Celestial Dragons of noteworthy stature, like how Garling is the champion of God Valley? Also does their individual skill set actually relate to the title given to them (Saturn seemed to oversee the Holy Land’s scientists, hence why he was the god of science and defense), and if so is that the reason they’re appointed? Also, I wonder does Imu’s power or whatever freeze the age of the Gorosei when they’re appointed? If so then what did Ju Peter do to get appointed because compared to all the other members he’s by far the youngest, and given how he’s the God of Agriculture and the CD’s are running low on food he might be replaced next, they were demanding that the one responsible for their “hunger” be gravely punished

I think Garling will be the one to defeat or kill Shanks, especially if Dragon ends up dying. There has been a lot of focus recently on fathers and their children. There could easily be a thematic parallel where one parent could fall to save their child while the other child falls to the father… Then again, we still don’t have confirmation on how Garling and Shanks are related.

3:15 on the subject of potential avenues to defeat the Goresei and Imu-- When Emet released the haki knot (whether it was Emet's haki or Joyboy's haki, I'm not sure) it reverted the Goresei to their human forms and sent them back to Marijoa What happened to the (former) St Saturn shows that his power did belong to Imu, so maybe Luffy somehow learning to harness the haki of Joyboy (maybe through the powers of the Sun God Nika) is the ticket? Food for thought

A thought. Devon touched Saturn. Imu kills Saturn. So if Saturn is part of imu, then does Devon actually have the power to impersonate imu instead? Even if we know ode retckons some things. I doubt he didn’t already know he was going to kill off Saturn. So those pages of her touching him and walking off would be pure wasted space. Also how would she know she could become imu if this is the case? Otherwise, agreed, maybe that’s how Blackbeard or part of his crew get caught out. Another roundup of Sanji tier meals you served in this episode. Let’s talk St Garling’s potential yokai. I personally love the idea of Fenrir being the model, for a few reasons. 1- Fenrir, besides being a wolf and wolf = moon, Fenrir is said to “eat the sun” in Ragnarok (an expectation for Oda to subvert?) and defeat Odin, who be later avenged by his son Vidar (i think this could be referring to many things but hopefully Elbaf can gift us an Odin figure outside of my first guess in Kozuki Oden lol) 2- Fenrir had two sons that were opposites: Hati (meaning Hate) who chases the Moon and Sköll (meaning Mockery) who chases the Sun. Shanks and Blanks, his evil twin?? 3- ok this one is just cute if I’m being honest: one of **Saturn’s moons** is named Fenrir.

When thinking about Saturn's death from one of the Vice Admiral's perspectives, I have a funny thought. So, they see Saturn off Doberman, then Saturn mumbling something and then burn up into a skeleton. Cause and effect, so the only conclusion is that Doberman is a god to be worshipped since the mere act of harming him caused another god to turn into a skeleton. Doll: Saturn attacked Doberman, we thought he was dead... but then, Saturn just withered up and turned into those bones. Kizaru tilts his head to the side and leans down to get right in Doll's face. "HHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH? Doberman? Nah, he is mid-tier at best. Seriously guys, where is Saturn? Has he come back from the island yet?" All the vice admirals point at the bones together. Kizaru's mouth slowly falls agape as he lowers his sun glasses looking at the bones. * a little while later Kizaru is talking to Akainu on the den den mushi. "So yah, then they say he just turned into bones." Akainu: Doberman? Really? That guy is mid-tier at best. Kizaru: Right? That's what I said. So, what do we do with the bones? Akainu: What do you mean? Kizaru: like, he was supposed to be a god right? Do we have some special box to put them in or... ummm Akainu: bruh... how the hell should I know, I am still trying to wrap my head around this... Kizaru: what part, Doberman? Akainu: yah man, I don't get it, I just didn't see that coming, like does that mean he is in charge now? I don't want to be bones dude. Kizaru: I guess, I mean, we do seem to decide who is in charge via combat, and if Doberman can turn a god into bones. What does Sengoku think? Akainu: I don't know, he ran off a couple days ago mumbling something about Garp and cracker flavours. And dude, I am not telling the elders that some vice admiral turned one of them into bones. From my point of view the weakness of the gorosei is Imu. They are only invincible and immortal due to Imu's powers. They'll be around, if not just temporarily restrained, until Imu is defeated. Saturn was only killed by Imu because that immortality was removed from him. It didn't make Imu look stronger/unstoppable to me imo
