When making the thumbnail for this video, I searched for non-descript sea creatures (I didn't want to spoil the species in the thumbnail of course) and threw in the first one that fit. That's my bad, lack of due dilligence on my part. Thank you to everyone who pointed out that it was AI as I hadn't realised at the time. Gen AI is not something I approve of or ever want to be using in my work so, I appreciate the comments and have changed the thumbnail. xo

Tied into speed; it's simply much less of a bother to find a MLM with decent image-generation abilities than it is to find an artist with the level of skill you're looking for, get in contact with them, pay them, and wait on the completion of the artpiece, which will probably be at least somewhat diverged from what you were ideally looking for, and take days if not weeks, and you can tune the prompt to get pretty much whatever you want, get a lot of examples, and pick the best. 2. Cost. Some MLMs require a subscription but it'll pretty much always be cheaper than commissioning an artist. 3. Speed. See above. 4. Independence. You can make the art on your own without needing to interact with or rely on another. Artists are NOT special, and the consumer will ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT favor convenience and cost over vague bullshit ideals and moralistic hogwash like those you cling to. The products they create are NOT magically distinct from other products. Technological progress has removed the need for many other jobs, like cobblers and blacksmiths, and it will remove the need for artists too. That's a good thing, because humans don't like working.

I think the megalodon would be a little prematurely added in the series and heres why. We actually haven't seen the mosasaur do too much for what it's worth. Its a giant marine reptile that we've only seen do 2 things: kill the indominus, and swallow a submarine. It feels like the existing creature should get more attention before moving onto a new "big bad". I do think that the megalodon could be apart of that later synopsis where the crew finds something shocking out or whatever, but I think Jurassic World's mosasaur being as big as it is means it will probably be the main target for the team.

SPECULATION: maybe frontier knows what will be in the rebirth, as they put the meg in the game as well as some other creatures that we wanted, and thanatosdrakon wasn’t a popular choice so man frontier could have known what that thanatosdrakon could be one of the creatures in the new film….. 99% chance I’m over thinking it though 😂😂😂

if frontier has knowledge of what is gonna show up in future movies they would probably avoid including those species so they dont have to do double the work by including two variants in JWE3

Doubt it. Frontier added Megalodon because we asked for it, not because they knew what species Rebirth is going to include. They wouldn’t let Frontier know the plot details until the film comes out and a DLC or perhaps a 3rd JWE game will be planned. Ludia added Megalodon into their games way before JWFK and JWE was even a thing. So yeah, Megs not new to the franchise.

It would be a very neat twist Like they're hunting this Megalodon believing its their target They get in a scrape and right before it can munch them it gets tackled by the Mosasaurus who bites a large chunk out of the Meg Another point in favor of the Mosa attacking the Meg idea The Mosa famously loves to eat sharks A giant version of its favorite food would be quite enticing

@@ultrabandw1215 Because giant sharks have been done to death by dozens of movies? IDK if there's ever been a big screen ichthyosaur at all, let alone something like Shonisaurus. We're talking a 70 foot predatory reptile here, possibly up to 90 tons! Recent studies show that it was hunting big animals too.

Personally, I’ll be disappointed if the massive aquatic animal is a meg. I’d prefer this franchise being reptiles and dinosaurs. We already got to Meg movies and they both didn’t do well. And Mosa barely got any screen time in the last two JW’s. I’m hoping it’s just a fun decor in the movie to call out that prehistoric animals live among people.

i genuinely would be surprised if they benched the mosa for this movie id understand if they switch Quetz for Hatz or Thanatos, and totally expect them to switch Dreadnoughtus for Argentinosaurus or Alamosaurus or even a therapod like Spino or Carchar, but benching mosasaurus doesnt seem right, yes the megalodon was larger than the mosasaurus (and is in jwe2 by sheer mass) but it doesnt seem right yk?

@@BestInSlotGaming The idea i got in mind its they not gonna add the megalodon because its dont make sence to add him having a the mosa. second could be just a decoration of the place and its just for a scene and third could be a reference to the meg because both in both movies have prehistoric creatures that are the main thread. (but its an opinion i have since now they show a lot a weird reference to other movies if there not from universal

Yeah even if Meg appears, I feel like it would start a fandom war where people debate which Megalodon is better; The Meg or Jurassic’s. Like The Meg films have already made Megalodon famous, so adding Megalodon in Rebirth would make the general audience feel like they seen it already with The Meg films. So I say let Megalodon stay in the games (JWE2/Ludiagames) and let something else, preferably a new marine reptile take the screen.

What you didn't consider one of the newest dinosaurs, this, name meaning fish giant, was a huge ichthyosaur that was discovered this year, so we'll get to see it maybe next year or maybe make an appearance in JWE 3.

If its not going to be Mosasaurus or Megalodon, then I am going to guess the "colossal" creatures of the sea is some kind of giant Triassic Ichthyosaur. Unless the filmmakers intend to pull another WWD Liopleurodon and have an oversized Pliosaur as the main aquatic animal, an Ichthyosaur like Ichthyotitan is the only one I could feasibly see being portrayed as a bigger beast than the in-universe Mosasaurus and/or a Megalodon.

It be cool if megalodon was in rebirth cause of the plot is really is getting dna from the largest land, sea, and sky creatures than megalodon fit the bill cause It can weight 40-61 tons on average or 122 tons for a max specimens Unless they want to add the aust colossus or Hector icthyosaur much larger than megalodon

Genuinely seems the more I learn about this film the less interesting it seems. Ik megalodon is popular but really it just shouldn't be in the jurassic franchise. It was never designed to be a shark movie. Plus the mosasaurus has still done nothing in the last 2 films.
