RC300h owner here Overall I've been absolutely loving my car over the past year. But its definitely not for everyone. Pros; Looks great and stands out, its far less common than germans on the road. Interior quality is fantastic, and if you have a model with the large screen & fsport gauge (as seen in video), its aged a lot better than the rivals. It's lacking engine power, but it still drives like a GT car, absolutely great for touring and doesn't mind being thrown around corners a bit. Rear seats & boot are actually usable. In top trims, the equipment list is substantial, and you can pick one up for around £20k so its a lot of car for the money. However, it does have cons; Premium brand sports car upkeep costs, a full service at lexus sets you back around £600, and a set of Michelins might hit the £1k mark, its also not *that* economical for a hybird. This is a general coupe complaint but with doors open the car is WIDE, too wide for UK parking spaces unfortunately. Its often tight and ungraceful to get in/out of in a parking lot. But the biggest con is the drivetrain, unfortunately its just underpowered. 223hp and 8.5s to 60 is perfectly fine for everyday driving and overtaking etc. But nowhere near good enough for a proper sports car. Luckily the CVT noise isn't as bad as people make it out to be, the car is well soundproofed and has just ended displacement to not feel like driving a lawnmower. It does also come RWD with a torsen differential. If someone's looking for a luxury GT car thats also more economical than a V6 or V8 or simply doesn't care about straight line speed. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. If you do want performance, i suggest either the big boy RC-F or an import RC350 or 300, which are the non hybrid 3.5L V6 versions normally not available in europe because we're green and sad. I still wouldn't trade it for a german though, the luxury and uniqueness is worth so much more.

don't do the services at the dealership... what services are you doing for 600. I mean oil change is the only thing that happens annually. and that should be under a hundred.

@@dannyc.1552 Lots of owners want to keep the manufacturer's warranty going, which renews for a year up to 10 years or 100k miles if you service at the dealership.

I would like to know what the "beeping" sound is when you drive along. In some POV videos, i hear the car just randomly beep at you either in hybrid mode or even without. Very curious to know.

Owner of an RC 300h here. To summarize it"s a great GT (not sport) car reliable, comfortable, rare with a stunning look. The powertrain is not very powerful but pretty torquy, quiet and fuel efficient.

I looked up some Lexus, basically if you want one, you'll need to have a garage with a socket to charge your car. Everyone is plug-in hybrid

Wrong. Most are Self Charging and cannot be plugged in
