Pro Tip!! Put extra shrink tubing on your batteries to extend the durability of the pack. Factory shrink wrap is thin and doesn't offer any protection from crashes. IMO

Thanks man for some actual real battery management tips. At the start the bigger the battery in my head I thought the bigger the risk but all batteries have a point of no return or fail. The best tip would be even if you fly all the time or not try to keep your batteries at storage voltage.

i seen RC ADDICT did a video on setting a switch to turn the VTX off, which could be handy in the event you crash in a tree and dont want the vtx ripping the battery down But all good advice here

​@greenthumbfpv I think OP is talking about PINIO and setting up the VTX to be physically powered on or off... This is what I personally use. Pitmode still has power going to the VTX, and can still overheat and still drains your battery. PINIO does not.

I have a 1s 550Mah that when I plug into my charger isn't even recognized (Vifly says 0.0). It feels like the case is filled with air (so soft). I'm assuming its done?

When the flames come out the side , Thats when I usually throw them out 🙂 Seriously though , smothering with sand is one way to put out lipo fires .
