So I made a video a few days back claiming that I thought Regiments is (at this moment) a better game compared to WARNO.. Now I felt like I needed to make this video to A) explain why I said that. B) Explain what I like/dislike about WARNO in it's current state and why I will not be making more WARNO content until they release more divisions/maps/singleplayer content. I really think WARNO has a HUGE shot at becoming a household RTS name like COH, Wargame, MOW etc.. But it just needs some work, especially for me in the SP department. If you want to support the Eugen developers working on WARNO I would recommend 100% to buy into early access as the bones of the game are solid, it just needs more time in Eugen's oven to go from "good" to "amazing". COH 3 looks promising though! Im a COH fan since first launched. I hope EUGEN can improve also the DESTRUCTION similar to War Thunder (tanks & planes), The tank first Hit looks like total wrecked or total damage. I hope they can also emphasized the Tree destruction when they move to dense forest.

As someone who bought WARNO the day it released. I was to be honestly quite filled and I was actually pretty surprised rather than disappointed. Sure it only has 4 playable maps and only 2 divisions but I still loved it nonetheless. However, I wouldn't personally recommend it to people who are expecting a relatively big game with tons of content or who have weak PCs like me. Performance issues are still a major problem with WARNO with me constantly lagging extremely hard or even outright crashing in the lowest graphic settings possible. Hopefully Eugen will fix performance issues in the near future. If not, I recommend you getting the newest graphics card that is available for your PC if you want smooth highly detailed and cinematic battles.

Performance will increase each patch (almost !). You must already feel some imporvement since patch 3.

I'm runnning this game on a top end system and do seem so little buggys but nothing bad. I think they'll make this into something special.

I’m not paying £40 odd quid for a game thats utterly unfinished with the promise they’ll make it not complete shit later after a few hundred quids worth of DLC Maybe for some indie game I can see the potential (I bought Zomboid literally years back) but this is Eugen. If it becomes like Wargame sure that’ll be great. Then I’ll buy it but I’m not funding the pre alpha development of a multi million pound studio

Your last line is what I am hoping for, with enough updates and content it can surpass Wargame I think, but for now it's a little light on content, even for early access, but I recommend people who want to support the game to check it out ofc.

The way I've see warno is future game investment.. buy it if you have money. Leave it for few months. Thats what I've done. Played warno for like 6 hours in PvP. Now left it installed. Regiments as a single Dev is great achievement. And hopefully more will come for it

As I said in my pinned comment I think WARNO has some really good bones, it just needs more time for me to become a household RTS name imo. Which is fine because it's early access, but it's early access for $30 with not a lot of content to show for it. But I believe the Eugen team can make it work!

Honestly Naval is the weakest aspect of WGRD, utterly boring with it being a pure blobfest of CWIS and and AShM. I wouldn't mind patrolboats or landing craft, but I hope they add amphibic capabilities to vehicles.

My issue was regiments was the TTK or survivability of the units. I’d have multiple tank units engaging transports like m113 and marders with infantry in open ground and it took aaaages for the transports to be destroyed. It just doesn’t make sense. In wargame/warno transports and infantry crossing open ground would get destroyed very quickly by dug in tanks. As it should be. It really put me off the game. I love the concept but that really put me off playing

I think that Eugen folks did the early access very properly, and i feel that idea of early access is kinda vague today. For me, what they offer now is fully working game with quite small amout of glitches/bugs, very nice graphics in sense of models, textures, animations and effects, just with not so much content. And i do believe they will follow with the content shortly. The only thing i am a little bit afraid of is Eugen might got a taste of selling content as DLCs...

Really a wonderful game and is again in early access need again more work and eugen said that new patchs and updates'll be in next weeks but really this game has huge potentials hopefully solve the bug that vehicles pass through objects such as cars trees and that finally add variable weather rain snow mud ice fog day night wind snow storm etc are variables that should never be missing in rts war games species if realism is the workhorse

I love Steel Division but hate wargame! Too bad they went back to it. I was really hoping for a modern warfare steel division. Instead we just have a rebranded wargame.

Warno isn't like WG tho. It's more like SD2. It's only like WG in terms of era weaponry but all the 'Smart orders' stuff and even how the objective works was ether taken directly or inspired by SD. There is even the whole mechanic where CMD units effect veterancy of nearby units and whatnot.

Currently the game is following more of the steel division route which as a wargame vet is not something im really in support of, the games should be two seperate entities not just merging them into one so it just becomes *a modern steel division* for me right now its a pass, not because i doubt the game will get more developed, but i think the vision for the game differs from what i have come to expect from Wargame.
