I have got to say before I even finish the video. That shirt is AWESOME!!!!! As a young child Emergency! The Six Million Dollar Man and of course Happy Days were shows I never missed. Gage and DeSoto were it for me. I had the round top lunchbox and still remember opening my Redline Rescue Ranger at Christmas when I was 5 or 6. I was going crazy about it and one of the few I still have from my childhood. That T-shirt is great and I am looking for one right now. You always have cool shirts but that is the best.

Stunning job Paul. That car would look good in a few colours. Red or possibly Yellow. You made my Saturday morning.

WOW 😲 Came out GREAT‼️👍 This one is really Top Notch❗👌 I forgot all about the Lotus redline, in fact I'm not sure I seen all of the Grand Prix series. I know I haven't seen them around at all in antique stores anywhere and I go to a lot of them. Hardly see any redline's at all anymore.

I started watching this video seconds after it posted...2 months and several attempts later I finally finally finished it! The 2nd release of the plastic model had cover art and plastic in all white as while version 1 was in the "day glo" phospherescent red as raced at the 1968 Indy 500. ( After a late restart STP Lotus turbines # 20 Art Pollard and leading car # 60 Joe Leonard broke down just 12 and 10 laps from the finish.) The blueprint you used in your cover art was the Formula 1 Grand Prix version which was an almost all gold with a little black trim driven by Emerson Fittipaldi (Players Tobacco $ minus the name.) Based on your videos cover art I thought you might recreate that car as a custom from the HW. No matter. Great Christmas special too, as always! Have fun with your toys!

@Paul Youdelis I have a bunch of those castings but the post are so skinny and so short I haven’t even attempted to restore one, I’ve been known to drill through a casting or two maybe a dozen. I may have to give it a shot, since I have a few of them. Omg amazing resto, honestly look at the race cars of that era and they had big deep rear tires. I got a question, I just got a Wacky Racer model kit, I built it out the box but yellow parts and figure with and spectra flame pink body is well less than desirable. To get to my question do you know what the original release kit looked like? If that’s how the original release kit came I’ll let it be and build the others the same way. Yes I googled it didn’t find anything thing and checked KZbin and the same nothing.
