Is this the BEST BEACH TOWN in Texas? We think it just might be! Join us as we boon-dock on the beach in Port Aransas Texas. Now we love to boon-dock!! And usually this takes us to far out places far from civilization.... AND WE LOVE THAT!!!! Every once in a while you come across a town that just captures your heart.....Port Aransas Texas did just that for us. Just what do we love about Port Aransas? I mean, it is everything we usually tend to avoid: crowds, noise, people, and tourist! WE ASKED OURSELVES THE SAME QUESTION? It has everything that most other Texas beach towns have: beach camping, trash, porta potties, swimming, and showers. Maybe it is the town friendliness towards campers, the clean beaches, lifeguards, kite surfing, beach combing, ship traffic...... are maybe its just the Vibe? But we loved every minute we were there.

Oh wow guys, what a great camping spot! So awesome that it is close to the channel. It's super dun watching big ships. So wonderful that there is a site where you can go to get more information . Wonderful drone and ship footage. Loved seeing that oil thing. Kite surfing...so mesmerizing. We have people who so that on Grand Traverse Bay... It is fun watching them. Absolutely love the Doodle segments...brilliant! Those yarn things....what a fun idea..they were great! Love the way you allow each other your own time and adventures!! I go to Corpus Christi about every 2 years. I’m wanting to move there someday. I’m going there this April to fish and explore more. Y’all were on a beach I hadn’t been on before so I’ll definitely be exploring around Port Aransas more.

A lot of fisherman rode across the channel to fish the jetty on the other side. I think the first jetty boat leaves at 7:30 in the am and last boat back leaves at 6pm. You can camp on the beach if you like!

Thanks for a wonderful video of my former stomping grounds back in the 80's. I remember that the wind NEVER stopped blowing! This made it one of the premier windsurfing locations in the world. The kite surfing footage is almost meditative, ahhh. My best shelling for large Lightning Whelks and Pen shells came from Ingleside, on a little strip of beach at Ingleside by the Bay.

I love that you loved Port Aransas! I live in San Antonio and go there quite a bit. It's one of my most favorite places. There are a lot of beaches that are way prettier, but the vibe in Port Aransas is what keeps it special in my heart. Like you said "I don't know what it is, but I love this place".

Right.... how long will the journey to Turkey take? The wind surfing was pretty fun to watch! Port Aransas has been my 2nd home for about 30 years and visiting since I was a child. Watched it grow from a little, out of the way fishing village into a huge vacation destination. Next time you're there, go to the backside of the island to watch the ships come and go. Due to the narrow width and depth of the channel those big ships displace lots of water that create amazing tidal waves in the shallows along the back shore, in the area known as Charlie's Pasture.

I love that area. Contemplated relocating there years ago but that fall they had one of those terrible hurricanes go up the cost and that scared us off. This was before thinking about being mobile. We are happy to meet subscribers along the way if it is in our route (I think you were) but we totally forgot and are currently In Louisiana! I think we talked about meeting up. In my defense as our channel grows it is getting harder to manage 3 emails, youtube comments, Facebook, instagram, Patreon and our website. Port A is amazing. St Joe's is owned by the Bass Brothers. There is a private access dock in the town of Rockport. I noticed your Coast Guard sticker. My brother retired from the Coast Guard 5 years ago. He started in Hawaii on the Jarvis. They travelled down to South America and few time to Japan. They captured one of those drug smuggling submarines. The two guys inside were bolted into it from the outside, he said the smell was horrible when they let them out. I guess they were lost and stuck inside for a couple weeks.
