This is the same concept as the Kemper Amp Profiler only for analog signal processors. I don't think we're there yet with this one. However, I'd like to hear how close you can get to capturing your RND 542's on your favorite setting.

This is great for a hybrid setup if you want to use your equipment multiple times in a mix but only have one or tow of each unit... then you can cherry pick the tracks that get the analogue and still get close with the other tracks... I always find a mix of digital and analogue hugs each other quite well. Sometimes will bounce a mix to tape and only use about 8 tracks of the tape as the digital sound hugs the track chosen to keep the tape sound. This would be much like doing that. Would make hybrid mixing a lot easier, that's for sure

Just found you. Furthering my rudimentary YT education on mixing, as I'm completely overhauling my Lexus stock audio system and (though I've overspent my initial project budget at least 4x already) the science and possibilities of sound is kinda becoming an obsession..? The more I learn... There's so many layers to this onion! Coaxing pro sound out of every component is brand new territory for me but I really enjoy the process... Your channel and expertise will certainly be a huge factor in my progress. I'm just a drummer, SQ isn't usually my thing but (as a perfectionist) it'd be a huge help if I could borrow your ears and experience for like 10 mins, ughhh 😩🤣🤣 Great stuff, sir.

Just like with any other modern plugins it is -5 to 10% from the hardware. Little bit less life, less depth, more linear. Could be usable for some experiments though.

I'm guessing they could actually get closer with the captures if they didn't need to make everything tweakable.... On the positive side.... Because it is so tweakable, you can actually tailor it to your sound, way more than a significantly more static machine learning capture. I'm tempted to check this thing out just because it seems cool... It's not perfect but it does sound pretty good.

Decent comment but if you'd use analog you'd know a null test with analog would be pretty useless as I can pass the same track with the same settings thru the machines twice and they wouldn't null. Tells you nothing,

I've tried the plugin real quick (just the artist presets and I instantly thought this is a game changer. It's not perfect, I don't really like the GUI but this is the first time I hear compression from a software that has "that" analog element. I can't wait to see where this goes in future.

I've looked through the preset packs on their website and since the contents are all annotated, you can see how some of the artists in there use a hella lot of digital stuff, so these presets are at least partially (and often completely) pointless when you own the same plugins. For example, the Machine guy has so many plugins listed in all of the presets that you start to wonder if there's any actual hardware he uses (there doesn't seem to be any visible on his photo). I'd be willing to buy your presets precisely to have at least a glimpse into the analog world since the possibility of me having access to that hardware is nil.

Yesss I did! It uses the same impulse(send/return). What is crazy, U can use it also as a controler. One Hardware but puting C-Qlone on many tracks and you can readjust it anytime by just activate the track. While turning the hardware knobs U can see changing the curve in the nearly realtime(delay)...have U ever tried it, lol?

Thats a good idea for engineers but bad for the hardware factorys. The deferents are big. Hardware have more pleasant sizzle and the low-end is tighter. And it’s sounds like, that it needs oversampling. I hear the same difference between a real Marshallamp and a simulation. First I was exited about that plugin. But it gives me not the „uh! Ah! Wow!“ Felling that hardware do.

Don't bother. With the subscription model, there's no way I'll ever get this plugin! Great idea, but I already can't afford my current monthly bills, adding another one is a flat NO!!! Same goes for any other software. Ridiculous model. The Subscription format is another way to take advantage of people IMO! Every single company is going this way. From your DAW, to Amazon, to phone apps, to TV streaming services, to heating your seats in a BMW, to your radio in your car, delivering your groceries, headphones, etc. It all adds up so at the end of the month your drowning just to stay afloat! We don't need more overhead, we need less just to survive let alone prosper! I currently need about $4000 a mouth just for my diabetic supplies I need to live. And that's just too stay alive, and doesn't include anything else like water, shelter, food, etc!
