Thank you for your very helpful video. I have a Gibson 60s figured cherry 335 that has the nicer top and block inlays versus the dots. It's still a lot cheaper than a Collins I want that woody tone, that jazz tone of Larry Carlton and Lee Ritenour and BB King. It seems the Colins is more lke a what a PRS McCarty 594 is versus a Les Paul. A better made guitar all around with a more modern even sound.

Tried one and came close to buying. But I prefer a chunkier fret-wire. I figured one reason for the high price was the exquisite fret job, so it made no sense to buy the guitar and rip out the frets. I ended up buying a used Gibson 336, putting 6100 wire on it, and ended up with a guitar that was a far better fit for me personally for a much lower price.

Just about anything on a guitar can be fixed, but the fretwork makes or breaks the first impression. I've had 3 Novo guitars and I've never seen or felt better fretwork. Flawless.

Guitar demos should be clean. I cannot tell what this guitar sounds like. It is like going to a musem to look at great art wearing sun glasses.

Wrong (again). They should be demoed clean and with a high-quality amp that's overdriven.
