Its not that clean. Its alright but dont be shocked if you see some garbage near roads of in the forrest and rivers. There are a lot of stupid uneducated people that does this. But generally its ok, it depends where youre going. Landscape wise, we have amazing wild nature and it rivals Swiss. When it comes to food, yeah we have delicious food especially if you eat in villages.

Otherwise they become a product of modern tourism & infrastructure, all the historical value goes out the window... imagine if they restored the Colosseum in Italy - someone at UNESCO would prob have a stroke. Cetatea vizitată este cea de la Torockószentgyörgy (Colțești). A fost construită de primii regi ai Ungariei - casa Arpazilor probabil în secolul XI și a făcut parte de sistemul cetăților de apărare ai Regatului Ungariei. Just came across your Romania videos and I am so happy you guys went to explore this area! On the other side of Piatra Secuiului/Trascau Mountain there's a village known as Podeni and my dad grew up there and my grandmother still lives there! I go every year and absolutely adore this area in Romania because it is something special and not really talked about or known. I hope you enjoyed it there and hope you loved Romania! Axente Sever is nowhere near mountains, those are hills. Big wooded hills, but still. And Rimetea is in a Szekler area (the historical capital is the large village of Unirea or Vintu de Sus) in the middle of a mainly traditional Romanian area, traditional Saxon villages are a bit farther away.

It's good to mention that 30 years ago this Axente Sever - Copsa Mica area was one of the most polluted areas in Europe. You can still see the ruins of the old communist factory (combinat) in the aerial view. It's really refreshing to see how both Axente Sever and Copsa Mica cleaned themselves and got so colorful and nice.

The two counties making the secui(szekely) area(Harghita and Covasna) are NOT autonomous. There is no region or province within Romania that is autonomous. Anyway, these two szekely counties are the most unpopulated and among the the poorest of the country next to Vaslui county in Moldavia and Teleorman county in Valachia. Just a fact :)

You think that the Szekely area is poorer than Moldova except Iasi and than most of Oltenia and Baragan region? No chance, look at the GDP/capita. As for the unpopulated part...Covasna has a small population mainly because it's the smallest county except for Ilfov. Btw, Tulcea is the largest county and the smallest population.

Szekler land !? There is no such thing. If Vlad & Georgiana from Romania Thrills told you something like that, then it means they don't know what they're talking about. Painted furniture is not a Szekler tradition but was taken over by them from the Saxons. Romanians sculpt furniture. There is no Szekler island among the Saxons because the population is a cross between the Szeklers and the Austrians which has generated a certain specificity. Pre-boiled and then fried potatoes are called Romanian potatoes or peasant potatoes.

don't be an idiot, Szekler land is exactly the same as Hateg Land (tara Hategului) Fagaras land (Tara Fagarasului) , Barsa land (Tara Barsei), Chioar land (Tara Chioarului), Mot land (Tara Motilor) etc. It's the kind of small historical region Transilvania is made of. Also, do you deny Oltenia, Transilvania and other regions "exist" just because they don't correspond to an official subdivision of Romania?
