Is This REALLY The Best Polish Breakfast? (Traditional European Sandwich)

What is the most common Polish breakfast let me know because I was directed to this shop called in this location by a local where they have Kanapki, flat face sandwiches, salad and fish, drinks, cakes and more. In this video I am going to introduce you to a typical traditional flat open face sandwich which I have seen is common in Eastern Europe but it is something that I had never come across in England. Anyone that has not visited a European country the chances are you would have likely not seen this unusual open face sandwich before which can be quite for strange to those that have never seen this style of sandwich. I visit a shop called Sploem for my morning breakfast in Poland that have a mixed variety of cold sandwiches with egg mayonnaise toppings, tuna, salad, peppers and much more flavours. I am not used to having cold food in the mornings and I do find it quite difficult sometimes traveling in Europe especially near an in the smaller towns I notice that there are not that many options for food to suite me because coming from a western country country I am used to many options such places like Jamaican Caribbean bakery's which is my favourite, British bakery's, Greggs, Starbucks and cafes. After I go to the Polish shop for my breakfast I tour the square and I find out a bit out the Polish history that many years ago on the main sqaure in Cieszn was once trams passing through.

In Poland, we typically don't eat hot things in the morning. We typically eat some deli like aged dried ham, sausage on a sandwich and so forth. We do eat scrambled eggs with fried kielbasa sometimes (with some veggies), but mostly, our breakfasts consist of cold food.

It's not true that we don't have many options for breakfast and is only cold, what with scrabled eggs, fried, boiled eggs, omelette, hot sausages, crepes, racuchy, cereals, milk soup etc., on sandwich you can put wherever you want, can be sweet can be salty, with paste e.g. smoked mackerel, twaróg, many other combinations. I live in UK now, I would say british breakfast is boring and greasy, no fresh vegetables, even on dinner usually steamed, who on Earth invented grilled tomato, it tastes like rotten.

Iconic Viennese sandwiches and egg spread were invented and brought by Franciszek Trześniewski from Krakow. You can buy egg paste today almost all over the world. You can eat Trześniewski sandwiches in Vienna to this day. 🙂 Breakfasts depend on family traditions, the region of Poland, and the season. The Polish breakfast also changed after the war, because the work schedule changed. There was practically no lunch break. There was only a short break during the day for a quick meal usually sandwiches. That is why breakfasts began to be made very substantial to provide energy for a long time.😂

@@jbob2331 Honestly, the mistake is going to those countries in the first place. Central and Eastern Europe are notorious for racism. Some people there are extending him kindness, but that shouldn't be interpreted for majority thought. There are many painful, tragic things in life that are necessary/natural. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a people that want to keep their own culture/blood. Andre's attempts at friendly interaction does not change that fact. And actually the countries that he's in right now are EASY compared to the extreme racism found in Japan and Korea...it's hell over there.

Man... I live in a city of 12 million people. If I lived in a city with this little traffic I would be very, very, very bored. Obviously, here we also have cities like this in the interior of the states, but for those who have always lived in the capitals, it is very difficult to get used to it. Greetings from São Paulo - Brazil. By the way, a Brazil free of Bolsonaro, thanks to the good GOD. 🇧🇷
