Weekends can be busy, this was a week day too. An evening walk would be lovely I’m sure. Where else do you like to take a walk?
@beanoyip068 ай бұрын
Back in the day before the tree top walk, we used to do Macritchie to Bukit timah through Rifle range, quite a hike on its own.

Riffle Range is a lovely walk. Where else do you enjoy walking?

That’s one chonky camera. The Attenborough-esque camerawork looks great in 4K! 😜 As for munching on an apple in monkey territory - nice, gets the adrenalin pumping.

Ha thanks. This was the spot with the least monkeys so I took a quick snack! Any later and I think they would have taken it for sure.

The monkeys really worry me, since one grabbed my bag, bright orange, on Pulau Ubin, on our last trip. Fabulous walk, thank you Millie.

Yes, the Ubin monkeys are very bold!

Lovely! Do be careful of the monkeys though, if you have food on you they may try and get it. They even open zips on backpacks to get the food inside. They look lovely but they do scare me too. We’ve had a few encounters.

So jumpy but I’d be too about the monkeys 🙈. Lovely adventure 🦋💜

Hi Wonderlust< My friends and I we really love going hiking around Macritchie the only problems is that a lot of wild monkey. Just need to be careful never go near them.
@WONDERLUSTworld8 ай бұрын
Yes indeed, need to be aware around you. I know several people who walk with a stick or walking poles to deter the monkeys. 🙈

Forest views are lovely, a few NParks have tall lookout towers so you can see the tree tops.

Nice trail….tower and bridges seem proper highlights. Although as an aside cities in the UK arent tied to cathedrals- it one way to have got the status but not the only way. I live in Cambridge and we are a city but no cathedral.
@WONDERLUSTworld8 ай бұрын
Oh thanks for clearing up the cathedral thing, I did know that about Cambridge actually, beautiful place.

Nice video😊 I tried before last year walking on the green corridor trail for 22km route Starting point was at kranji of the green corridor trail and end up at the last point which is tanjong pagar. I took about 4 hours plus time to walk the whole route of the green corridor. It was an awesome challenge for me. Ended up I got sunburnt and my legs went wobbly hahaha. But it was fun because I did it alone. Prolly u can try it next round as a challenge. 💪
@WONDERLUSTworld8 ай бұрын
Oh thanks for sharing, I’ve done sections of the green corridor but not that far.

That looks like a White-bellied Rat Snake, they flee quite quickly when they sense danger, it is not venomous.

Personally I will not recommend ladies to go by herself but at least to have a friend with you for personal safely sake.
@WONDERLUSTworld8 ай бұрын
Singapore is a very safe place and it’s a route I already know. I also knew they’d be other people along the walk as it’s a very popular one. I’d also recommend going with people if you’ve not done it before or aren’t used to walking trails like that.
