Using Atomberg smart fans and exhaust fans for 3-4 years now. Its a wonderful brand. But i would prefer UC Native Lock pro over Atomberg Smartlock 😊😊

@TheGrapevineIndia it has camera feature, when bell rings at door it captures the photo and sends to mobile in real time. If one has UC services in their city, one must keep this as option. In my city UC has full services, I am using their RO as well. Great experience so far.... Local servers in India is another reason though some other brands also keep data in India Please do keep it if you are considering a comparison video...thx

I did a lot of research on smart locks and finally went with UC Native lock. It has camera, and the calling-bell to picture-in-app feature is amazing. Atomberg doesn't have a cam which is a dud at same price as Native smart lock.

Can it replace my existing cylindrical lock? Does atomberg team check if installation be done on doors with existing locks? Or does it install only on new doors?

It can be done on existing locks. In case the existing lock is larger than the smart lock, there will be some light paint job you may need to do to cover it up. In this case, I replaced a small cylindrical room lock (which was smaller )with this lock - so no damage was visible after the installation.

How does the otp work without wifi?

I believe the OTP is created using the lock id and date and time - which then becomes unique for that particular lock and the lock is able to decipher using the same tech.

Not carrying mechanical keys being their USP to keep the same with your neighbours or friends for a backup. Doesnt that defeat the purpose of this lock when the batteries are dead anytime suddenly?

The batteries are rarely dead suddenly. You can see battery life on the app and replace when they get low. In general - should be ok for over 6 months.

Can't have something that can be hacked at the main door. Maybe we would use a smaller version for personal room/cupboard within the house... Nothing beats the sheer design variety of a physical lock for the main entrance door.
