Using dashcam since last 5 years. Golden rule. Buy 4k, 3 channel or at least 2 channel, gps dashcameras, capacitor powered will be good but never used it. Dont cosider anything other than above points. Invest one time not again n again.

That's the main reason I have not purchased dashcam uptill now. If you car get stolen or if they break the window and take your cam, there is no point of all the recording. But for direct Internet connectivity they would require Sim integration and that would increase the costs substantially. I would expect such cams to be in the range of 40-50k. Some of these types of dashcams have already been launched outside India but might take many years before they hit Indian market.

Hi You left out VANTRUE and viofo brands which are truly good Warranty of body control module and battery warranty is void I n Volkswagen if youtake power from 12 volt socket which is continuously powdered on (little wierd policy ) Many dash cams have front camera suction mounts on windshield so we can avoid the heavy adhesive which gets activated from the heat of the sun

@ before taking it to the VW service I will remove the front camera which has the suction mount and the rear one some I have to scrape of the 3 m adhesive tape and tuck the wires inside the trim to avoid the warranty issue in VW !

@ the 12 volt socket is continuously on if we forget to unplug the 12 volt socket the battery will drain and over the time period it will weaken the battery and this could affect the battery warranty and the body control module (which controls various electrical distribution ) these people in VW told me in a friendly manner to remove the camera before it enters the VW service (unofficial ) so that they don’t put it in record I am planning to change the cable to use the usb c port to draw power instead of 12 volt socket And yes I have forgotten to unplug the socket sometimes overnight VW service advisors are very finicky I am normally in touch with VW service managers and asst managers just to create good rapport and VW service on the whole are strict with outside accessories interfering with car electricals ( they told me the truth ) better not to be in trouble just because of a dash cam .have suffered car electrical malfunction in my earlier car ( seltos )

I am located in Delhi NCR, and my car is typically parked in a basement, so heat isn't a concern for me. Hi Vivek, thanks much! Between the 3, I would not go for A500S today. main diff between A810S and A510S is the former is 4k, but both have starvis which is good. I have found even 3K resolution good enough. So if you have higher budget - go for A810S else A510S is more than enough. Hi, good review about dashcams want to share my experience about the post sale service at present most of the companies are pretty poor on this. Purchased a 70mai Proplus in April 2023, but display went off in August 2023 but it was still recording, few months back got a time calibration error, TBH 70mai is pathetic in terms of service their response was pretty poor, i suggest you also mention this, most of the dashcam owners will face this issue as it is an evolving technology and still touch and go 1. Suggest you bring out the post service options, in my case 70mai now i have to send the dashcam to their pune service centre who will then let me know what the issue is

I always like watching your videos when it comes to decision making as you are very well spoken, have a very calm demeanor and most importantly you cover wide variety of products in comparison and consider almost all the important details needed for decision-making. But I wonder why in this video you have not considered Viofo dashcams. Viofo as far as I know are making some of the best dashcams available accross globe, and somehow they also have a good presence in India and also offer good service here. Which actually makes the video not so useful for me unfortunately. Hope you would consider this brand in future.
