Kevin? Have you seen the Honda Grom sidecar called project angel? I stumbled on it when I literally looked up rickshaw's for the Honda Grom....because a friend was going camping on Easter & carried a ton of stuff on the back. I had thought to myself, I would need a rickshaw to carry all the stuff he manged to take. By the way, I bet someone could be a millionaire if they could make an easy to attach, street legal, rickshaw type attachment to a grom for groceries or camping gear (however funny that sounds, but it sounds way better than saddle bags). Alr, Happy Easter.

They just feel about $1500 too expensive. Maybe $3000 brand new and I’d jump on one. But after mods close to 10k? It’s a shame they look sooooo fun!

I think it's a gorgeous bike and perfectly built! But... For the cost of that engine and transmission upgrade, plus all the ecu and fi upgrades needed....20hp is eh. A $600 ZS 190 2v makes that much power and comes with a 5spd already. So while maybe a Zhongshen engine might not be desired as a swap option here, let's not get too excited over what was undoubtedly $3500+ just in engine, Trans and supporting parts to make that 20hp. For a show, or race bike or someone who doesn't care about money, cool. Practical though? Not really.

@HondaProKevin9 ай бұрын
lol yeah buddy! Some people like to hate on these types of builds with the whole "why don't you just buy a different bike" or "that's stupid to spend XXX amount of money on that" etc, but it's all in what floats your boat so-to-say. We all spend money on stuff that other people might think is crazy, some naturally have a larger bank account so it may seem extra crazy lol, but as long as you're having fun with how you spend your money - who cares what others think, in my opinion. We won't go down that rabbit hole though as it's all a matter of opinion, and we've all got one of those, it's just that some like to shout it a little louder lol! And just so we're clear, I'm not referring to you when I talk of people "hating". Those comments haven't started on this video yet, but they are plentiful in the other big money mini bike builds I've covered. A beauty indeed though! Appreciate ya watching and hopping in the conversation bud ;)

It's really cool, but spending the same amount on mods as the bike costs brand new is a sign you're just wasting money. When you could get a bigger dual sport bike and kit it out with all the accessories for the same money and spend 10% of the time on it.
@walk69328 ай бұрын
Don't miss the fun factor of riding these small bikes over larger, heavy bikes. But yes, people get carried away into the money pit.
@MakisOfEquinox8 ай бұрын
@@walk6932 trust me I don't, I've sunk many hours and hundreds into 50cc mopeds. Had a ton of fun so far with that hobby, but you gotta know when the cutoff is or you're just bragging about having less sense than cents
@closetjimi8 ай бұрын
More cents than sense… thats a good quote. I do appreciate a good build regardless, if you have the money why not? Kinda like modding a cheapo civic or kitting out a $100 guitar
@MakisOfEquinox8 ай бұрын
@@closetjimi why not? Because it's a waste of money, it will never sell for more than you got it for and arguably is only guaranteed to sell for less. And people who mod out things like this eventually realize it was objectively kind of stupid to do so and took a bike they could have resold for close to what they bought it for new, but because they destroyed it with mods. Now they have to sell it for 1/2 and 3/4 if they're lucky, get next to no money back for the mods they did. Granted I don't get any entertainment from burning money. Doing basic stuff to a guitar to make it better but not twice as much on said guitar to make it sound better is cool I guess, but spending $5,000 on a $1500 civic to make it run 11s while making it less reliable than a European or Korean car from the 90s, it just dumb as hell.
