I've built several aero rifles and pistols. Every one is top shelf builds. Love their products simply one of the best and the quality is impeccable. Right there with Wilson combat ..if I lived there where they are l'd love to work for them.

Got one in CA with their EPC-9 Enhanced 9mm Complete Upper w/ Enhanced 15in hand-guard, replaced the A2 bird cage with a LiveQordie 9mm Cherry bomb, a FailZero Nickel Boron 9mm BCG, swapped mil-spec trig for the Geissele Automatics SSA-E trigger and their Super Charging Handle, backed with a Magpul CTR stock, still researching sights/leaning towards the Aimpoint T2. The magazine lock for compliance is a bit harder because of the mag release lever. But it can be done, drove 38miles out to Simi Valley to get the guys over at Greta’s Guns to drop in their specifically made for EPC-9’s mag lock (FYI it is a patent design). Best part about that is it doesn’t require drilling into the lower and permanently adding the Hague’s freedom fighter fixed mag solution paired with the Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter rear pin, the rear pin tends to snap and lodge in the lower requiring it to be drilled out. Take my word for it if you live in Cali, and are thinking about buying/building a Ar9 the A.P. EPC-9 is a beautifully manufactured PCC.

The Geissele triggers currently don’t work with the EPC’s, confirmed by Aero. Dropped mil-spec back in and continuing my research/search for a great trigger.

Love Aero but it was a mistake not making the LRBHO part of the lower. Now to get that feature you need their proprietary upper.

5:30 Tip: Putting the spring in with the end plate when building an AR, use a razorblade as a stop gap. Done it several times with no springs flying out.

I have been wanting an AR-9 forever, but being a poor on a low fixed income, it has proved to be very difficult, to come up with the money needed to build it.. but it is the Christmas season, maybe Santa will gift me some AR-9 parts to get me started in the right direction, but who am I kidding nobody nor Santa give as a dang about a poor like me!! As long as you use a Taccom or Macon Armory barrel, your EP9 should run flawlessly. I had to do a lot of fitting on my FM-9 to work and the EP9 still runs better.

i have 1 unit new gun. test fire 4 round onlt . some part it broken .pin lock extractor broken and extractor lossen including magazine release knob bending. why quality so bad for some part .

No personal experience but I’ve read posts stating that it’s the feed cone on their barrels that causes that. So either get a different barrel or have it machined/polished.

They don't, they only run fmj. If you try to put hp in there, your get your bullet smashed it. I know because I have one.

Because they make great products? Pretty much what I thought before buying and assembling an EPC-9! Aero shit the bed on this. Due to my occupational choice I get to use a large amount of Speer Gold Dot 124gr JHP ammo. As such I figured it would be nice to have a PCC. Why not? We shoot that ammo through our full auto HK MP5 and Colt M635 sub guns with no issue. Not so much with Aero EPC-9!! The first day I completed it I took it to my Range. Loaded a mag, dropped the bolt and boom. First round would fire and the second would get stuck and jam. EVERY TIME. Funny thing is when I called Aero customer service about this, their customer service person told me I should have expected this! He stated that PCC guns like this one are not designed to shoot anything but FMJ ball ammo! Huh? Why wouldnt Aero have alerted their customers to the fact that this gun only shoots FMJ ammo reliably? I wouldn’t have bought this gun if I knew it was a problem. I would’ve saved my pennies and purchased a CMMG banshee like my friend did. His banshee shoots and eats anything he feeds it. Whether that be ball ammo or hollow points. I had to send the barrel to Rudy Koester at Macon Armory in Georgia. Why? Because Aero/BA does not make barrels with a wide enough proper feed cone channel!! Why not?!?! DESIGN FLAW!!! Furthermore my $650 Brigade Arms FM-9 shoots ball and HP ammo reliably. This is another reason why I was surprised by this issue from Aero.

I had the same issue and ended up replacing the barrel. I went with a Taccom. It has lower and upper feed ramps. Macon armory also makes a “guaranteed to feed” barrel which gets good reviews.

@@pastrocks85 mainly due to the barrel not being designed with a proper and wide feed cone channel. They should’ve been up front and honest about the limitations of the firearm.

@@pastrocks85 Yes. Check with Rudy Koester at Macon Armory in Georgia. The man makes barrels and is a genius at making sure the PCC runs like a top. He helped me a bunch.

I would recommend you stick with Original Glock Magazines, or Magpul Glock Magazines. I have tried Strike Industries Glock mags, and they will come apart after your last shot. Strike Industries Magazines are fine in glocks, but not PCC.
