After trying to flare our brake lines with a standard flaring tool and getting mixed results we decided to go with a more professional tool as we had a good amount of flares to do to replace all the brake lines on our Unimog. The 4wd truck has steel brake lines which makes the job a bit harder.
We ended up investing a bit more than the standard tools and in the end got a tool that was sooo much better, so decided to do a review and show you how it works.
We are very pleased with this flaring tool as we were able to do all the flares for our brake lines without having to redo one because it wasn't good enough. Not only did all 40 or so flares come out perfect but it also took us so much less time to flare them. As you can see in our video flaring now takes the least amount of time, so we got the job done faster and could focus on other things on the mog.
