Anyone saying it's pronounced 'Fraydah' is playing with you; it's 'Fraydo' because it's a take on the character from the Godfather. I can see some in the UK calling him 'Freddo/ Fred-O' but that's just some dialects or people that don't know the name spelling it phonetically in British English.
