On top of that he added a few bits into the fight, meaning he made the fight longer than it was originally planned to be, and he did the alternate scenarios just cause he wanted to and did all four of them in a day. I remember back when MORØ did a sprite animation on Sans Vs Sonic around 8 years ago, comparing that to where he is now is insane, I'm so happy for him seeing how far he's come as an animator.

So yeah, the big difference between Bowser and Eggman’s forces is that Bowser’s army is a family, while Eggman’s is a shield. And since this was a brilliantly-made battle of the biggest bosses in gaming, it went triple platinum on pretty much all social media and is continuing to inspire fanart and memes to this day.

The badniks work more as a massive disposable army meant to overwhelm with sheer numbers and firepower. True Eggman can always rebuild his robots in no time (ignoring the fact that most of them are powered by small cute animals) but they don’t function as a unit, they attack more themselves than the enemy. While they are designed to serve Eggman that doesn’t mean they like him. In fact, as time goes by they can develop something akin to sentience, not the same level as Sage’s, but definitely something similar to Metal Sonic.

Bowser's basically Nintendo's version of Doctor Doom. He wants to conquer the world, but he genuinely cares about his subjects who love him in turn. He's also incredibly skilled with magic and tech. He THINKS he's smarter than he is, but he actually IS incredibly smart. He's more a rival to Mario and Luigi than an actual villain. And when the chips are down and a greater threat shows up, he'll gladly team up with them to stop it. The biggest issue he has is his huge ego.

to help clarify a bit from the Eggman analysis portion, Shadow basically thought of Maria as a sister. Gerald made him specifically to cure Maria's rare medical disease, hence his title of Ultimate Life Form, before G.U.N. showed up & ruined everything. It was even revealed in the recently released Shadow Generations that Maria helped name him & the reasoning is ADORABLE. She decided to call him Shadow because if you can see a shadow, you can find the light that makes it.

Tiny thing about Sage and her calculations that doesn't change the results much While Sage did calculate millions of outcomes where The End would defeat Sonic. The only TWO scenarios where Sonic wins were the only two scenarios that she ignored simply because she thought it was impossible regardless. This is easily in my Top 10 favorite episode in the series, maybe even in my Top 5. The analysis for both combatants were very entertaining. The fight itself, being animated by Moro Production, goes insanely hard; with moments like Bowser's scuffle with the Egg Dragoon, Infinite being cool for a few seconds, Metal going Neo, Fury Bowser's transformation, ect. & the fact that Moro made alternative scenarios for the post analysis, just because he felt like it. That man is built different. Speaking of the post analysis, they really covered their bases in showing that, while Eggman had a lot of impressive stuff, Bowser pretty much had counter for most of 'em (be it with the Dream Stone, Wonder Flower, & just magic in general). Also; the music is a top tier banger. Brandon Yates blessed us with the track "Game Over", with vocals provided by Victor Borba, who you'll later hear as a singer when you play DMC 5. There's just SO MUCH I love about this episode that it's hard for me to properly put it into words.

This episode is nothing less than a pure masterpiece, to a degree where the most critical Death Battle fans can acknowledge the well-researched analysis, the incredible fight, and an agreeable result. Speaking of the fight, it was made by ONE person, the legend and GOAT, MORØ! You've actually reacted to one of his animations before, "HELLUVA BOSS VS MURDER DRONES" and as always, he COOKED. The absolute legend animated the whole fight in 2-3 months plus another week for the background once Death Battle was funded from my understanding. Not just that, the KO screen of Sage still being alive plus the alternate scenario was all add-on he wanted to do for fun and according to his Q&A only took him a day to make. I really hope he gets to animate more fights for the show cause I would love to see him cook once more. This episode just made my top 5 of all time and I'm not even a hardcore Mario fan or even played or watched anything Sonic-related, but the fight makes me want to give Sonic a try. The magic of Death Battle! As for the next time, it's definitely more on the goofier side. But I'm so down for the chaotic stupid fun it will bring! While the only piece of Fall Guys you consume was a Devil Artemis video that really had nothing to do with Fall Guys, I'll explain the gist. Fall Guys is basically an obstacle course Battle Royal where you either race to the finish line or survive the rounds till you win the crown. At first glance, people assume this is a slam dunk no difficulty win for Among Us since they are proficient in killing. Weeeeeellll, depending on whether or not all the crazy stuff that happens in Fall Guys is taking place in a TV show with special effects, there is so bonkers scaling! But that's all I will say, we'll find out who wins when the episode drops to conclude Death Battle 2024!

Major respect for the animator for doing a battle of this scale with so many little details throughout the fight! The outcome was pretty much what I expected, given my love for both the Mario and Sonic franchises! The contrast between Bowser's living forces and magical expertise and Eggman's cold, calculating armada of weaponized tinkertoys made for a thrilling brawl! Some fun details: Eggman saying "Get a load of this!" and "You know what they say: The more the merrier!" were references to lines he said from past games, while Neo Metal Sonic saying "I'll crush you!" was a reference to the Flash animated series Super Mario Bros Z!

There was a post on Reddit where someone explained, step-by-step, Sage's thought process throughout the entire fight, and it makes the battle so much better. As an example, at 22:00, she's seen gathering up a bunch of Badniks, which she hurls at Bowser. This was a fake-out. Her target was not Bowser, it was _Kamek._ Kamek was responsible for taking the Phantom Ruby from Metal Sonic, and she deduced that there was nothing stopping him from taking the Chaos Emeralds from him as well. So she intentionally launched a large scale attack at Bowser because she _knew_ Kamek would do something to protect Bowser, which gave Neo Metal Sonic the opportunity to break through the defense and take him out. This episode is so good, even as someone who was also rooting for Eggman.

And once Kamek was out of the fight, the plan was just for Eggman to survive while Super Neo Metal Sonic swept up. Unfortunately, she didn’t predict Junior making an objectively suboptimal play of throwing himself between Metal and Bowser, nor for that to push Bowser over the edge into going all out. Metal went down, the entire plan was FUBARed, and Sage couldn’t calculate a new strategy with how quickly everything went wrong, forcing her to go with Eggman’s somewhat improvised last resort of the final egg blaster (he set it up before the fight began, but given that he almost got caught by the blast he probably wasn’t expecting to need it)

Honestly, Transmutation magic was the biggest reason Bowser won. There wasn’t really a defense for it Eggman had. I know the death battle cinematic doesn’t show this, but Bowser theoretically could have turned Eggman, Sage or Metal Sonic into a block of bricks and his enemy would have no rebuttal. They just don’t show that because that’d make for a boring spectacle.

Bowser indeed saved his troops three times duing the fight, first from Infinite's power, then when Neo Metal Sonic hurt Bowser Jr., and lastly when he got a seven emerald charged blast from the dead egg, he placed himself in front of the blast to protect his troops. Bowser does care a lot for his minions and their minions in exchange are loyal to him. A difference between Eggman and Bowser, Eggman is a tyrant, Bowser is a king.

Meanwhile, Bowser didn’t do anything because he was busy, using magic to sustain his troops and prevent them from being crushed. Because of this, at the time I’m writing, Infinite is deemed the worst Death Battle combatant if you’ve judging by screen time. Even the Deep and Michelangelo, who appeared all the way back in season one, has him beat.

5:20 That's Mario Party 5. It's a strange entry in the series, with some of the best and most annoying things about the series rolled into one. Some love it, others don't. I personally really have a soft spot for it. Some of the channels you've watched have videos about it, and I recommend watching those.

One thing they don't mention which is important context that they breifly touched at the end but not fully is the chaos emeralds are way more powerful than anything in the mario universe but to unlock their full power a living organism has to use them, that's why there was only so much any of eggmans forces could do with them especially metal. So close yet so far 😂

Alternate Scenerios are what would of happened if certain items were used in the fight and how it handles, it's a way tell people if they were wondering why this item wasn't there and how it plays out and the animator said that he came up with the idea and ran with it. The Scenerios are also deleted scene that didn't make it in the fight.

My only real complain... Fury Bowser... is not really Bowser: in both instances Bowser was corrupted by evil paint, he became a puppet of the paint itself: he is just a tool that goes beserk but he is not in control. BUT... I can totally see Bowser's instincts emerging and taking over when his son and his minion are in danger. I accept this. Oh, yeah, also: "only main media, no movies or crossovers" yet Bowser does a Smash kick and General Koopa is there, BUT since the latter does literally nothing... it's fine.

sage is from sonic frontier and thanks to her theres an opening to create a version of eggman who gives up on world domination, or another version in case theres already one im unaware of, and i fully support it since i love the idea of him getting a pseudo daughter like her and her essentially saving him from his blind obsession. yeah hes a great villain but i detest when series just reuse the same villain over and over and over, personally id love a game or series thats post sage where eggmans given up on world domination and destroying sonic and is instead just living peacefully with sage and some of his other loyal bots and some other villain is the bad guy and eggmans actually helping sonic deal with them or eggman wants to just stay outa it and live peacefully with sage but she convinces him to help

4:52 If you didn’t catch it, Lakitus are a type of Koopa Troop who can ride on clouds and fly over Mario to throw Spinies around or a lot of other stuff. They have evolved into a mix of good and bad among their species. Lakitu is the referee of sorts in Mario Kart and you have at least seen him holding the stop sign at the start of the races and whenever you fall off in a race he uses a fishing rod to get you back on track.

I'm sure someone's already mentioned this, but this fight was entirely (at least I think)animated by Moro,the same guy who did the Murder Drones vs Helluva Boss animation. I say I think because I genuinely can not believe this was all animated by one person. Unless this man is just a god. Also, you missed it, but at the start of the fight,Eggman says the funny thing.

I love that this finally happened. This was a good fight. And while I think that this end result is the one that makes the most sense, especially since it portrays their characters so well, in my opinion, if Eggman was given prep time to learn a bit about Bowser, he could probably build a battle system of some kind that could defeat him. But I do think it's a bit questionable that they gave Bowser stuff from the spinoffs like Party. I feel its canonicity should really be called into question.

1. This really was one of the best Death Battles EVER. Top 5 EASY! 2. Honestly, not to downplay Sage, Eggman himself and the rest of the army, but this might as well be Bowser vs Metal Sonic. The moment he went down the fight was basically over.

The only thing that Eggman could have used to get a different outcome would be the Egg Salamander or the Egg Wizard, both mechs could ve destroyed Sonic s and Blaze s universes. They re the only things Eggman has that would scale above Bowser, other than Super Neo Metal, but that s debatable. But not that he could use those mechs anyway, or not without some serious prep time, cause they rely on mcguffins only found in Blaze s world.

Also, the egg wizard's universe destroyer attack was clearly a last resort. Eggman didn't even want to use it: his crazy alt dimension/future self did out of desperation. I wouldn't doubt that it would've destroyed THEM as well

With the way the fight was set up (eggman crashing the wedding), it makes it seem like eggman had unlimited prep time hike bowser had none, and that means eggman really should’ve won in like 2 minutes
