Awesome overview! Really interested to see the Panther and Yowie in person. Hopefully they come with the option of a fully enclosed annex area when kings could sleep. This is one thing all the other manufactures are missing. We love our Dometic Stradbroke. It’s an amazing tent but does require a lot of room to setup.

Thanks👌 Good to know about the Dometic Stradbroke too. I agree about an annexe ~ RTT’s and kids are challenging, as is missing that standing room to get changed.

I take both my little ones 3yo & 5yo camping by myself, looked at similar equipment to you (air tents and family RTTs). Went with updated Darche AT-4 early last year, no issues whatsoever, really well made, used in some shocking conditions too. Have since moved (2m wide soft shell) and have the air tent as back-up. The Hannibal RTT is more work to set-up and not as sleek as hard shell options but the 2m x 2.4m floorspace with fully covered entry (fly extends 1m or so beyond ladder) and volume/ space inside with pitched roof makes it worthwhile. Aussie made wax converters canvas is breathable and blocks out light completely, weighs around 90kgs, should outlast my kids' interest in camping with their dad. 😳😂

Should add that I use the RTT on a small enclosed trailer so plenty of room for solar on the roof of the car still, can see the appeal of roof rails/ ability to mount solar if tent was on my car instead...

Great information thanks :) We've just sold our pod trailer this week so now we're back to looking at tents!! I've researched the Darche air pole tents and seemed to be some failures there too so good to hear yours is fine! After a lot of deliberation we decided the pod trailer was overkill for just 3 of us and I actually miss the simplicity of ground tents as crazy as that sounds. I've got some more content to post on the trailer plus will be exploring why and what we're changing to - still in research mode!

Internal dimensions are also different to mattress dimensions so before you go bagging people's products it might pay to know what you're talking about...

@@wkndcrew yea watched the whole thing. You're comparing the internal measurements of the tent, to the mattress measurements, which are different.

Yes I understand that but when specifically confirming mattress dimensions with Bushbuck, they gave me the internal measurements. I was VERY clear with them as James is 6ft. I’m not rubbishing them either, they were great to deal with which is super important. My main takeaway to people in my videos is check your specs thoroughly. My takeaway to companies is be specific with your measurements. And QC could be improved across the industry. Remember my reviews are honest, no affiliations whatsoever.

@@neamo111 true. Unfortunately I think many consumers (not me) could assume incorrectly that the dimensions given are indicative of the mattress size or at least close to. It’s a problem with RTT’s in general - I’ve found discrepancies in measurements a few times. When you’re charging in excess of $4k for a tent, they need to get it right and be clear. Even the 23Zero rep at the show gave me the wrong mattress measurements so I had to edit my video description which I hope people read!

It’s actually completely different to the iKamper; aluminium lid, rails on lid, lighter fabric, black-out Light Suppression Technology, better window design with triple coverings (outer, mesh and then an internal window covering), smaller than the iK internally, different colour, heavier overall, different mattress specs etc So how is it the same?
