Fun fact, the actor who voiced Hephaestus didn't initially know who that character was, but when the devs described Hephaestus to him he recognized the character because he was more familiar with Hephaestus's Roman counterpart, Vulcan.

The man speaking in the beginning is not Cronos nor Atlas; it's Zeus. This is his same speech from the end of GoW2.

Fun Fact: The voice actor for Hades is Clancy Brown. He has had a long successful live action acting career as well as voice acting. He's appeared in films such as The Shawshank Redemption and Highlander, as well as voice acted as Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob Square Pants.

I believe that was a hippocampus. Typically it’s portrayed as a sea monster with the upper body of a horse and lower body of a fish. I think this interpretation which has a horse head with a crab/serpent body is more terrifying.

I didn't have a console growing up either, we all played outside. But as I got older and cell phones came out LOL. I got hooked on the gaming. I am now 68 years old and play all the time😊 I have played days gone and the last of us 1and 2 , I've played Red Dead redemption 1and 2. And GTA when it first came out. But I really do enjoy watching you play, you are very good at your gaming.

Well played😉😉! By the way, the red titan is named Perses, and Atlas is the only one with 4 arms holding up the weight of the Earth (Without him, we are dead XD). Atlas is still chained in the depths of Underworld

[BATTLE TIPS] You still have the Golden Fleece. You can deflect projectiles AND flash beam. > you can DEFLECT Medusa's Flash to petrify your surroundings. in other words, it is a BLESSING whenever a Medusa appear while you are being swarmed by enemies. Dispose Medusa last(not first). By NOT interacting with those Finisher Prompt to kill enemies, you will collect more Red Orbs. So it is suggested if you are not in need of either Health or Magic, avoid from using the Finisher Prompt. Any SMALLER ANIMALS, GRAB. Keep Grinding. Cheers.

I remember mentioning how much improved I thought GofW 2 was over GofW 2005. This game actually astonished me not just for the graphics of it's time but for the epic mythological tale shown in such monumental and heroic fashion. I recall thinking during your 2018 and Ragnarok playthroughs that God of War games were your real wheelhouse and these three games and the joy you always exhibit while playing them says it may still be so. (not withstanding your mastery of what you learned in TLOU in TLOU 2, and your rapid command of RDR2) hahaha, Well it's all so much fun~ 😎

For sure the most polished of the earlier games, the combat is better, not too many frustrating puzzles or platforming bits at all, everything is pretty smooth and intuitive. The story really is fast paced and you get to meet a lot of BIG named Gods and mythological people/creatures right away. Hope you really enjoy this "end" to the saga in Greece. Oh on why are there paintings of Zeus childhood in Gaia? Remember, in GoW 2 Gaia said ehe raised Zeus herself after being saved from Chronos by his mother. When Zeus was an adolescent he returned and wreaked vangance upon Chronos... And all of the other Titans for Chronos' sins

Watching this during a power outage. :) getting me through! Oh the gods in the intro: - Zeus, Hermes , Hades, Helios, AND Posiedon: Zeus' brother and master of all things water. We got a power up from him actually in God of War 1. The huge Lightening shock wave. He controls water itself and often wields a trident As a weapon. Considered one of the mightiest Gods in Olympus Along with these we also see Hercules, one of Zeus' most famous sons Oh on the Boat Captain. In GoW1 he was the guy Kratos let fall in the Hydra's mouth at the start , grabbing his key and letting go. Then later in the Game the captain grabs onto Kratos' leg in Hades, Kratos kicks him off the ledge he was hanging onto

This game is essentially a horror game, but you control the "monster" Kratos and the gods kind of deserve what is coming.

This is definently one of the best Gow games in the original series. It's probably my most played out of any of the others other than Gow 4. But In general I've played Gow Ascension, Gow 1, 2, 3, 4 and Ragnarok / The Valhalla dlc. Tc Carson did an amazing job voicing Kratos in the og games and it sucks that in future games he probably won't be returning. Because of what happened between him and Santa monica studios but Christopher Judge does his role as the older newer wiser Kratos pretty well. So if Carson doesn't return we'll just have to settle with Chis moving forward.

The intro in the beginning also shows some moments of the other God of War games. God of War Acension, GoW Chains of Olympus, and GoW Ghost of Sparta. Are you gonna be playing these as well? They add more to Kratos's past.

I'm planning to play God of War Ascension either before or after Valhalla DLC. :) I'm not sure about Chains of Olympus. I need to check if it's still available on PS plus extra/premium.

I’d recommend to complete Ascension before Valhalla, there’s also a reference to it in Valhalla. Also, just so you know, Ascension is a prequel to God of War 1 chronologically

6:40 It was Jeus talking. 1:02:02 You don't have special moves, you've already played 2 games now. You need to upgrade your blade in order to unlock special moves. Even in this games your blade got downgraded to 1 again after the fall.
