Yup, I also ride Maxxis Aspen because of the yellow logo's. 😆 And I really like them in 2.4WT. Amazing in summer around here when the trails are super dry and sandy.

Велик великолепен. Но больше всего заинтересовали обода. Полез на сайт, а там максимальный полный вес (с велосипедом и прочим) и на flat ground в 90кг. Встал на весы : 87кг в трусах. Без велосипеда. Облом :)

Beautiful build at an enviable weight. Extralite is awesome, I am waiting for a wheel set from Nextie built with their lightest XC carbon rim, 280 grams, they don't have the Extralite Hyperlefty (I'll have to source that from Extralite, other things I'm going to get from them as well) I ended up getting Super CX Ray spokes and a DT240 EXP for a little weight savings and bc I've got a strange fixation on the DT Swiss Hugi design from the first '94 on my '95 team XC Cannondale to the 240 on my C-Dale XS800 road/cyclocross and rode them on most of my other bikes (tho I see Extralite is using the same ratchet design, I may consider in the future). I'm still not sold on Berd spokes, only because they seem to be dependent on a skilled and patient wheel builder, which you seem have found, to be really effective spokes. The wheel set is the best improvement on the bike weight tho, a pound off is excellent, almost all from the wheel set alone. I was too late to get the throwback unfortunately, but a black Cannondale F-si 1 Hi-mod came up for sale, and since I already had the Ocho, I snatched that up. The 2019 F-si is a great looking well designed frame. I am slowly building it from the ground up, so your build video is extremely helpful, so thanks for making the video. Any info on this frame on all the forums is nil; bring up a Specialized Epic and there is all sorts of advice and technical info. Type in 2019-2022 F-SI and it's crickets 🦗 "chirp-chirp" then quiet, no words, no advice. I'm gonna "believe" it is because the model coincided with Covid-19 and nobody bought or built up the bike 😂. There is like one Bike Rumor review where they ride through extremely muddy conditions in Albstadt at a World Cup Race with Cannondale Press release/demo rideable top shelf new F-SI and they rode it on the mud fest WC course, so no real informative review in such bad conditions. KZbin is where I'm getting most information. So thank you,thank you 🙏

Thanks and good luck with your build! P.S. Wheels on BERD spokes are great. But you indeed need someone skilled to build them

You can use sram wireless blips now straight with axs RD now
@TwistedWheels5 ай бұрын
I know, but I much prefer how Zirbel work and they are almost invisible on the handlebar. Plus you can’t use blips with the dropper post and they have non-replaceable battery 🤷🏻♂️

Used FSI's are a great deal, just keep in mind that Lefty suspension is expensive to service and it needs to be serviced about twice as frequently as conventional forks.

Great Clip. Funny, interesting and Entertainment pure. Wish there were more like yours. What do you think about SRAM blips combined to LEAP Mounts?
@TwistedWheels5 ай бұрын
Thanks man! I think guys from Leap are doing a great job with their 3D printed mounts and it’s def a great option if you don’t want to spend money on Sram Blip box. The benefit of Zirbel + Sram blip box though: (1) you can control both the rear mech and the dropper (2) the battery is rechargeable so might be cheaper in a long run (3) super clean looks

Amazing Bike, but why don t you order the light bicycle rims without holes? And using tubeless tape?
@TwistedWheels5 ай бұрын
I usually do, but these rims are low profile and Lightbicycle recommended to have access holes. Moreover, it would be even more time consuming to build the wheels with BERD spokes. Right now it has double square nipples which significantly speed up the process.
