From one point of view it does seem like a waste but I’d be asking for a spatula to finish that whole thing clean! As for the farmers-well the whole of the Anglo Saxon world has pillaged Africa and gotten its own people hooked on sugar sweets and chocolate. Suggest to read the comments in TripAdvisor before going. Tbh they have put me off after seeing what assume are just fake publicity pics. I thought about going but now will never go. Most people go here and go full on gluttony. Its a thick chocolate obviously it going to be rich and sweet especially if you order it with a cake or brownie. I saw a family of 3 (with a 10ish year old) order 3 large cups each with chocolate spilled on the sides and a cake or brownie each with more chocolate on top. The mum managed to finish her plate while the kid and dad barely touched theirs. I hate seeing such waste. Moral of the story don’t be greedy know your limits. When I went, I ordered a small gianduja no spill and a chocolate cake with the spill to share between 2 people and that was more than enough. I recommend ordering a black americano to try balance everything out and not get sickly. 😊 their hot chocolate is actually pretty good as it isnt so sweet without the chocolate spilling on the sides.

Tbh proper chocolate doesn't have a load of sugar in it. However, I long for more places that sell normally sweet foods because places these days do put unreasonable amounts of sugar in, for no reason. Sweet is sweet. Once it's sweet... it can be left at that. There really are way too many places that add so much sugar in things, I can't even taste the actual food. The mainstream cupcake fad ruined all cupcakes for this reason. They used to be normal but now it's too much. Chocolate doesn't have to have any sugar in it at all tbh. It originally didn't. It was used as a health tonic. Imagine that lol.
