Absolutely agree that a real lamp is a game changer and is a must buy. Personally i just treated myself to a new lamp for X-mas and picked up a Game Envy Lucent and couldn't be happier w/ it. The deciding factor for me was being able to fold the the outer 2 led bars to angle the lights vertically vs horizontally so light isnt just hitting it from above. Also didnt hurt that it was only $85 USD before one of the many 10% off codes.

I got a BIENSER desk lamp. It has multiple brightness levels, 3 different color temperature modes (warm, cold, daylight) and, best of all, a goose neck that you can freely adjust. I got it on AMAZON for 20-30 €.

It's a sleek looking warmtone light, but that appears to be more or less it. I think this really comes down to someone's budget and whether they care about the prettiness of their lamp

I've got another kickstarter light from Kimera locked in, so I'll be interested to see how that compares to the Redgrass one. Looks very neat!

When audio engineers test their audio, they dont just listen on the top of the line monitors; they listen through car speakers, headphones and iPhones. In other words they hear what their consumer will hear. It’s hard to justify an expensive lamp to paint with when the end product will be seen under suboptimal conditions.

Cost is a lil high. I dont mind spending on my hobbies but i still have to justify my purchases. If i made videos or painted pro level stuff, i would get it though. Rgg make great stuff
