I used this exact drybrush method on my marines... small makeup brushes work really well at picking out the very edges and getting a nice effect on shoulder pads!

You can try - it might give you a very dark metal finish though

Yes but you'd get less of a gradient in colour

on olther videos u highlighted black with dark reaper, thunderhwank blue and fenrisian grey. is there a reason u swithed colours or do you try other stuff every once in a while? great vid thx :)

Just a different style of colour to get a different effect. You can still use the other combo if you prefer that

@@ThePaintingCoach thats a very good example thx! Now i made up my mind and i think i stick to the colours used here for my ravenguard since the blue is a little to much on them i feel like. however it fits beautifully with that chaplain and the jumpack with the blue flames

Great video! I bought and built my first army, and is this one! I used black primer and now ready to pain, even if a little bit terrified ^^" , i have bought the official "starter" + tool set whit 13 colors. Are those ok to paint this army? Is the hting that keeps me waiting... btw I will try the 3rd method ! :D

You can get a decent start - and remember you can always go back to add more detail later on

honestly i dont think stipling looks good with dark colors, but that might just be my personal opinon ofc, the highlighting looks awesome tho ^^
