Mike Mo, if you press UP on the left stick or on BOTH sticks when you get in that nose blunt, it will be all pressed down and steep! Same on nose grinds and 5-0’s, you can push one stick up for a balanced nose grind, or BOTH sticks up for a steep nose grind plow The game is RIDICULOUS! You can pull your FRONT foot stick back a little or all the way before you pop or flip your board for EXTRA high pop You will see the front foot move further back before you ollie like in real life Once you are pulling both sticks down for extra pop, THEN you can hold the spin button BEFORE you ollie and the skater winds his shoulders up so you can spin faster. I’ve been busting cab bs noseblunts on ledges, shit is so sick.

If you move the sticks like your trying to do a powerslide in the air its easier to do slides

Its funny seeing Chris skate that double set bank spot, since thats one of my fav line spots I've found in SkaterXL so far. The line I did there was a Nollie FS flip down the 3, Switch FS flip into the bank, Frontside flip the last set to the streets, and finish it off with a nice clean Fakie FS flip over the cross walk.

When you're coming out of a grind or a rotation push the sticks in or pull them apart to powerslide/ revert out. It takes a bit of getting used to but it makes everything that bit nicer

So when I went to pick this game up the guy at GameStop and I started talking and he kept telling me the one thing with skater XL is there's really no story to it and I kept explain to him all I'm looking to do is film dope lines. And this is exactly the type of stuff I do all the time playing it. Session a section 30 times and pick it apart for the best visual. Kudos y'all, great vid!

If you pop an ollie, turn 90 degrees then either hold both sticks in or out the board will snap into a direction, as opposed to the slow rotation. You can also do this out of grinds to land less sideways. You should also start rotating(hold a trigger) right before popping to get a less floaty 180/360 (and then combine with the snap to make it look more stylish.

When you were pushing up to the frontside flip, the reason it was hard to land is because you were using to much time pushing, if you did one less push you could have more time to pop. Just a lil tip I guess

if you didn’t know, you can front foot catch by clicking in the left thump stick regular, right thumb stick for goofy. also to rotate faster, lets say bs, hold r2/rt before you pop. you’ll wind up like you would in real life. works better when you high pop, which you pull both sticks down to ollie or up to nollie
