I used to scoff at what I called refresh rate snobs. Because despite my phone having 120Hz, I kept it off to conserve battery life. But once I turned on 120Hz and used it for a few hours, I begin to notice the stutter in 60Hz. It's bad, but ultimately not a big deal since I only use my phone for comms, browsing and KZbin. The stutter can only be seen when scrolling menus or pages so legibility doesn't matter at that point. I don't play mobile games much and don't imagine that many games supporting more then 60Hz?

It reminds me of the first wave of "gamer phones" that had horrible cameras. You may be the best for gaming, but you still have to be *respectable* at other phone stuff to see wide adoption, especially at the price. Same story here, you may be the best for coding, but you still need to be a *respectable* (so people are not saying 240hz or 144hz, just 120hz) at doing other monitor stuff to see wide adoption, especially at the price. Thats our thought process Edit: and i should clarify that that doesn't mean you shouldn't get it. If it makes sense for your setup (especially a multi monitor setup) then go for it. @@revirdkcalb It's not about programming, it's about using a computer. I bought two of these to use as side monitors, but sadly, the IPS glow is just horrendous. I couldn't stand it at night. It kind of defeats the whole marketing around this monitor, where the dark coding theme is advertised as a feature, but it's unusable in low light. If you use it as your main monitor, it's more or less okay, although you can still see some glow in the corners. Also, the stand does not rotate by default. You actually can rotate it if you take the stand apart, but not sure if that's intended, as BenQ doesn't mention this anywhere. On the positive side, I was pleasantly surprised with the coating. I prefer glossy screens, but this coating is one of the best I've seen so far. Maybe next iteration will feature IPS Black. Decided to return the monitors for now.
