And that's saying something!!! Can't wait to get back up to the Snowy's with you.

Man, it's been like forever since I rode that. Seems every time I rode it, I got a pinch flat on the last quarter mile.

Haha man, I hear ya there! I’ve had a handful there myself. Epic ride though - super demanding.

Thx yo! Where are ya at these days?!

Used to ride this one a lot like 10+ years ago. We did it as a loop with the 43 road connecting the ride (we usually started with the road climb and ended at the cars). Was basically unknown to most front range riders back then.

We usually skipped the summit push though.

No kidding?! That road climb is a savage one - legendary! If it weren't for the view at the top, I'd skip the push too...gets more difficult every time! Much love, -Mike

@@JoyOfBike yea Wisconsin isn't terrible, but you have to hunt for long stretches of singletrack. Lots and lots of corners out here to fit the most trail on the smallest plots of land. But bikes are fun! Miss stopping by to get my coffee locally however!!

Definitely not a flow trail. If you like traditional MTB "meat and potatoes" biking, this is your trail. I live in EP and this trail doesn't get enough love for sure. It seems as though every time I ride it there is more work to be done to make it more rideable. Great video!
@JoyOfBike8 ай бұрын
That it isn't! haha. It's such an underrated ride for some reason; but every time I go out I love it.
@ts-rf7er7 ай бұрын
May have missed it. What is the name of the climb trail on trailforks? And is that the same trail you descended down? Want to plan a route and i see quite a few trails on trailforks at crosier
@JoyOfBike7 ай бұрын
The climb trail on trail forks is called Glen Haven 931-2, to summit you’ll take the summit trail 931-1, & if you choose to go down the steep, tech, gnar side that’s Garden gate 931. I definitely suggest shuttling it if you do the full monte, but up the first two & back down is epic without the double black descent down Garden gate. Both rule! One just makes it a much more committed day. Haha

Is full suspension mandatory on this ride?
@JoyOfBike6 ай бұрын
Nope!! I've done this exact ride on a hardtail a half dozen times at least, in fact this was my first time on this exact trail on a full suspension Much love, -Mike

To knarly and rocky for me, fast and smooth i like with big jumps, burms etc. Great video. Thanks both.
@JoyOfBike Жыл бұрын
It's definitely a rocky one that'll keep ya on your toes! But I'm with you; I'm starting to lean more toward the fast flow too - hard to beat that feeling. Hope you have a dope day!
@reverentalexanderchezeley-6367 Жыл бұрын
@@JoyOfBike Apologies for the late reply. Arye, on my hardtail I lower the tyre pressure for rocky trails, my false teeth rattle a lot less then, lol. The good thing about rocky trails is I find, they sharpen your reflexes on the handlebars, and your line watching as you approach real rocky area's, they make you think faster. Thanks for your time. God bless you.

Will you be meeting up with fellow bearded caveman along the route? Will they have wooden and stone bicycles? Will those bicycles have uni suspension forks?

I’ve ridden tons of trails across Colorado since mid 1980s, questioning if this is the best mtb trail does not take into account those other epic rides to be had. This appears to be another in a long list of others. “Best,” in this case, is totally subjective.
@JoyOfBike7 ай бұрын
I’m right there with ya; I love the more obscure less recognized trails myself. You’re not wrong, it’s totally subjective - but what in life isn’t? 😉 with that being said, what’s YOUR favorite? I’d love to check it out if I haven’t yet. If you’re still in CO I hope to see ya out on the trail one day for a ride!
@runuphill6 ай бұрын
My vote would be for a much smoother trail, because I'm not a fan of rocks and roots.

Agreed - winding and weaving around rocks is no fun. Gravel is fine
