@Mouseijuana Mouseijuana Joe is a safe bet for tourists, but man, there's so many better places here in NYC. Gotta go with Amore in Whitestone as my fav.
@ludielee56633 жыл бұрын
I have specific taste growing up in Queens NY. But here in Southern California, the closest I get to my childhood pizza fav (Cascarino’s in College Point, NY) are Joe’s in Santa Monica, Tomato Pie Pizza Joint in Silverlake, and Slice of New York in Seal Beach. After watching this video I gotta go try Lamonica’s now, by the slice of course.
@xxxYYZxxx3 жыл бұрын
Lamonicas is my 2nd favorite I've tried in L.A. The Coop in Palms is my favorite, but strictly takeout. Both places serve single slices, so either are great for lunch.

It's not the water. It's the ingredients. Lots of places in SoCal have great NY pizza and bagels and they don't use NY water.

So you went to UCLA and never had Lamonica's? How does that happen? I remember cutting out the coupons out of the Daily Bruin. Lamonica's always had a great deal for UCLA students. I get the Sicilian Pepperoni every time I go. It's amazing...

Lamonicas uses frozen dough, dough is not made by hand/uses a pizza press to make the dough circular, and puts the pizza on mesh screen to bake it. Not sure how any of this make this a great pizza. Sounds like a pizza from the frozen section at a supermarket

Wow those pizzas look 👌🏼🤤 it’s a pity that they don’t make their own dough though and they have it shipped to them, that’s taking the easy route haha. Never the less looks like a great pizza joint.
@tloco15294 жыл бұрын
They should ship the New York tap water to L.A. and then make the dough.
@RockstarEater4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Maybe they are trying to save on cost of shipping the dough and water. But at least it is the real deal ingredients 😀

What up Angie this is your FB friend Bashar. I think it's a bigger pity that they use machines to stretch their dough. Any real NY Pizza spot hand stretches their dough.
