Italians still eat the peasant versions of their food. Pizza is still almost universally just a tomato base with a couple slices of fresh mozzarella and some basil leaves. It's nice, but it's insanely simple and gets old quick. I prefer the experimentation of the Americans when it come to Italian food. They took something good and made it better.

Well said, the best part of food and restaurant business is innovation, and u must innovate to stay relevant. Like look at the food scene today Giant over the top milkshakes, giant unconventional sandwiches, this is how restaurants build a brand, and build a client base. I love this show! Speaking from and Italian and from Italy, among other things I love how convivial the pizza servings are in the US. We are used to a whole (medium size) pizza for the individual, instead it seems you guys serve a bigger pizza which is sliced and shared....I really like that

Prime Pizza is incredible. I got it often at the Fairfax location, then moved near the Burbank location. Probably the best pizza in LA. La Monica's in Westwood is a great NYC style place too.

Bay Cities in Santa Monica used to have a restaurant on the corner that had awesome pizza and Italian food in general. Don’t trip Foo It’s true though, east coast food is better aside from Mexican food. I’ve lived on both sides for more than 10 years, I got no reason to lie. That being said I like the west coast better for reasons other than eating.

There used to be a pizza joint in Alabama that had smoked pork BBQ pizza. I think about that pizza all of the time.

Honest I would like to see Frank come to St Louis and visit to Hill and try out all the different Italian Sicilian areas in the location of Missouri I admire Frank he is a big Idol to me as well
