Indeed, beautiful lady and singing "O Holy Night" was extraordinaire. Recently, I listened to another breathtaking song called "Alleluia". It was played at the funeral of a dear Christian friend. In listening to this rendition, I feel like I am transported into the heavenly realm and tears flow. When I listen to it, I do so with a headset as the sound is even better. This song is on You Tube if anyone would like to listen to it. I don't think You Tube will allow links to be posted, but I will include the title.... Yes, definitely ! This is the very best among the hundreds of 'Oh Holy Night' I 've ever heard since I was in my twenties. Now I first knew about this Irish singer, such a marvelous diva ! I find I love Ireland more and more. Last year I fell in love with ' Danny Boy ' by Ella Roberts. She's also from Ireland. I know the novelist Lafcadio Hearn loved Japan. I strongly feel that Japanese and Irish people are connected in their deepest hearts.

@@johnmangels5572 Apparently you never listened to Celine sing this. The one you need to hear is the one in a Church with members of a choir coming down two aisles with lit candles. There is nothing cheesy about her performance in fact it is almost impossible to listen to her without tearing up or actually crying. Her ending of this classic melody is ever so tender and yet dramatic at the same time. In fact, as soon as I finish this comment I will play it. For me, it is not Christmas until I hear Celine Dion sing 'O Holy Night'.
