Is this the best PvP build for New Players in New World Season 3? Discussion and gameplay

I chose the Sword and Shield with Greatsword as my favorite build for beginner PvP players because Heavy armor with Sword and Shield will give the most success even when I make mistakes in PvP. In this video I show my Arena build for SnS. See my SnS/GreatSword Outpost Rush video for the Defensive Formation Build • New World PvP - Tank M... ! In Outpost rush this build feels almost invincible if you get good at using your shield to block and stay nearby to a healer. Don't forget to switch to Defensive Formation in Outpost Rush! I hope everyone builds a heavy armor, sword and shield build. Remember Tanks are very useful and very needed in PvP and PvE and easy to turn into bruisers, so get out there and play some melee! As a little tip I would add to this or future videos even In video description or attached comment is a list of viable perks we can take on our armor as we all know this is the biggest pain

I started enjoying pvp thanks to this build! I've now swapped to 200-200-200 since i felt it lacks some damage (in a nice exchange for survivability) In arena you end up being the last v2 or 3 and theres not much you can do (well at least me). However it helped me feeling more comfortable in arena! Thanks!!

Awesome! Im glad it helped! I switched to medium armor and 200 con in my arena vids because you need more damage in arenas but Heavy is best for getting the feel of damage in the game and its great for OPR where I think people spend more time.

Holy shit I thought you were a voice actor. Yeah this is really good build and for new players: don't mind if you are not immortal, learn how to play, it will not be easy from the first minutes, you need to learn how to use skills properly, how to block etc, but you will get there :D I can also reccomend healer with LS and FnS, light armor 200 con, 50 str, rest in focus. You can heal really good and when someone will be close can defend yourself or just run. If you want you can just come into the battle with others. And about video: when you were talking about stats and skils you were really quiet. Maybe try to be closer to mic and even be too loud and then later on you can adjust voice volume in post processing (or just even use noise gates etc during recording)

He's not lying about tanks getting into Expeditions easily. But if you're new to tanking PvE content, do yourself and your server a favor and do your homework. Watch some vids on the expeditions you want to run. For M1 you don't really need to gem for the damage type of the weeks mutation (that is if your healer is competent), but for M2/M3 you really need to cut or buy some gems to get your resistance up (~45-50%). Also, not a lot of people do it, but running two tanks is 100% an option. If agro trading is not wanted or is causing problems, one of the tanks can just swap to weapons that don't have carnelians and just be there for debuff (rend stacking) and crowd control support. But nothing beats practice and running normals is great practice.

There is definitely more to learn about tanking in pve. And im sure many videos on the subject. Just trying to get more people to go tank!!! There too many noob bows and firestaff and not enough melee in opr!

Yea I feel like shirking heals is going to get nerfed and ahkn since they talked about it on their latest video about balancing which sucks for people that invest heavily on those perks

Maybe they will make shirking heals close to equal with shirking fort id be ok with that. Otherwise everyone will just be running pvp track gear... maybe thats what they want.
