Just bought the PRL flex fuel kit , turbo blanket . 3 “ down pipe blanket (hopefully it fits) and the PRL titanium intake kit . I’m glad I watched this video I was kinda thinking the pipe being wrapped would be better thank you for confirming it . The car already had the mishimoto intercooler,charge pipes,mishimoto radiator and full 3” invidia exhaust with catted down pipe and eibach rear sway bar with a Hondata tune your video’s are always informative and well done keep up the good work !

Hey man- I had the same thought process and it was one of my last mods, I also thought it made the spool louder which I preferred since it’s a sealed system vs something I can throw a BOV on. I could use a blanket too! It would be my 1st blanket. Been watching you for a while just don’t comment normally as I usually agree with your videos and even helped confirm my mods as well. Great channel for Type R owners.

Replacing the oem bpv to the Turbo Smart kompact bov was a pita. FYI when you put those bolts back in tape the bolt to the 10mm socket with electrical or masking tape. Magnetic socket helps too.

Hey Torq you need methanol injection to really help with the hot air temps. Just don't let someone tune it as a secondary fuel source. Use it as a cooling mod. Mine loves it. I'm get 65 degree IAT on a hot 95 degree day in Florida. Let me know if you've got questions oh and I did the acuity super cooler hoses also.

About that try this...put the O2 sensor thru the under side or over by screwing in O2 sensor first and place the elbow blanket over it...hope that make sense once you try doing it opposite to what you know is right

If you have another aftermarket air intake (i have the mishimoto CAI) will you not be able to install either of the prl inlet pipes?

BTW, the reason why the titanium inlet pipe didn't give you the results you were expecting with it being 11 times less heat absorbent is because of the thickness. If the both the stock and aftermarket pipes are the same thickness then you can compare the 17 to 160ish numbers you mentioned, just a tip ;)

I have a huge suggestion. If any of the parts you’re going to Install you need a tune for, SAY IT IN THE BEGINNING. not every one is or will tune their cars but will upgrade parts

Did you reverse the installation process of the blanket. What i mean is disconnect the o2 sensor and run the wiring harness back through the open port on the blanket that way it sits on the inside vs. Trying it on the outside.

Well first of all, BUY ONE! They’re amazing! And many of these don’t have any transmission issues. But I’m personally having a terrible 2nd gear grind and sometimes a 5th to 4th lockout. But supposedly they’re about to tear it down in two weeks after several visits to the dealership. Should be all under warranty, let’s see what happens.

Cut the heat shield off of your O2 sensor. That's why it won't fit. I cut the one off of my old 9th gen Accord's downpipe O2 sensor.
