I've sailed solo on Celebrity 5 times in the past 2 years and, like you, have never had an issue with how the crew treats me. That said, the management definitely changed their attitude and pricing over the past two years, and I thing their reasoning is faulty. I am willing to bet my onboard far exceeds that of many of those who cruise double occupancy. Enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so happy I found your channel! I've been interested in what it would be like to solo cruise for a couple years now but have never seen any solo vloggers until I found you this year! I have just been hesitant about cruising alone really for safety reasons. But you have really given me hope that I could do it and have nothing to worry about! I also have only seen inside solo cabins on NCL no other cruise lines. You should be a travel agent for solo cruiser's lol! Thanks again, and can't wait for your next video! 😄

Great video! Just found your channel. I have not cruised solo yet, but it’s on my list. I have been cruising since 1982 on twenty different cruise lines so far, and just completed my #142 cruise on Celebrity Millennium - Japan/Korea. The Celebrity Edge class ships are definitely my favorite. I have sailed on Edge, Apex and Beyond. My next Celebrity cruise is on Ascent next fall - Mediterranean. My next cruise is 16 night Asia cruise on Oceania Regatta in Spring, then British Isles on Cunard Queen Anne in Summer. I retire next year and will need to try solo cruising because my travel friends can’t afford to cruise more than once a year, and my daughters & family have limited vacation time. Subscribed and plan to binge watch all your videos to catch up.

I cruise solo a lot and I have an upcoming cruise on the Beyond followed by another week on Resilient Lady. I have never experienced any issues being a solo cruiser. In fact I think I've had better experiences being a solo cruiser as the crew and other cruisers have been more open to inviting me to join them in events.

I've done solo cabins twice on Celebrity Apex. I loved it! Celebrity is now my first place to check itinerary and if they have what lm looking for l go with them. Love the solo infinite balconies. I am going to europe in 2025. Trying a solo balcony on oddessy of the Seas. I can't wait to compare. Cruises in rhe Mediterranean are much different than the caribbean. Tip: The free beach next door to the Bimini Beach club is just as clean and nice. In Bimini l am in the water and not on a chair so it doesn't matter to me to be in the club. I rented a golf cart and visited all the beaches on the island. I enjoy your videos.

I frequently take solo vacations. I typically do meet people but, I don't "make friends". While I enjoy chatting with people over meals or during activities, I don't expect to keep in touch with them after my vacation ends.

that's generally the same experience I have, though I do occasionally (only longer cruises when you really have an opportunity to get to know people) do make friends and keep in touch after the cruise!

Meredith thank you for the wonderful videos on this ship, I'm so glad that I found your channel. I was already stoked as it for the cruise that I booked on the Beyond, but even more so after watching your entire series on it. The song that was playing during the Captain Pour was very fitting for a Carribean Cruise as a verse in the song translates to " Who can tame the force of the sea, that gets into your veins. The heat of the sun that has gotten into you, and it does not leave you alone." On a side note, nice baby Monstera. Will be looking forward to more of your cruise videos to see what else I'm missing just by cruising on RC.

Such a great video!! When I sailed solo on Equinox last year they always sat me at a two top, but it they were right next to other two tops. One night this lady kept saying how sorry she felt for me, she was amazed that I was by myself, and kept talking to her husband about me. Lol

What a great review of Celebrity Beyond, my favorite ship! I’m so glad you had such a wonderful solo cruise experience on Celebrity and hope that your experience on Reflection, is just as good. IMO Celebrity’s entertainment is top notch, especially on the Edge class ships! The Martini Bar is always a blast especially when Captain Kate is at the helm. I’ll be looking forward to your updates on Reflection, as I’ve never sailed on her (I’ve been on Equinox though). I loved the lawn garden and will be interested in your take on an older, smaller Celebrity ship.

How did you experienced the dining in the main dining room as a solo traveller? I dont really want to be seated with people or families I dont know. Or did you go to the Ocean View Café every day?

@@jaytei1965 most cruise lines are starting to be more accommodating to solos! Generally the newer ships have dedicated solo staterooms but they can be few and far between so you have to book early!

@@MerCruisesSolo Interesting. It's doing 4 and 3 night cruiser from what I understand. It's a little different than the other Solstice class ships but seems highly rated in reviews. The Sky Lounge is smaller and it doesn't have the Quasar Nightclub (was underutilized).
