I just took delivery of a refurbished unit (this exact model) and the first thing I did is hooked up my big space heater which drew about 850 W. I had it go for at least five minutes ... and I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the unit held up (yes of course the percentage of power remaining went down a couple percent in that five minutes, but not bad considering the draw) as well as the fact that the fan never came on! I suppose if I ran it for another five minutes it most probably would have. This makes me feel confident that I can use this with my refrigerator, for instance, in a power outage probably for a full day. Pretty happy with the unit even here less than an hour with it out of the box. And yes, no one would be able to really walk away with it very quickly... except maybe The Rock?

Part 2 I also use the mini waffle maker they sell in Walmart anything under about 700 Watts runs perfectly! I also use the $20 box fans lasko that they sell in Walmart they're only 45 Watts! I put it in the driver's seat crack the window and blow the air into the back of the van! It works great! I also run my star link RV satellite dish off of this it ran for 5 days straight and only used one of those little blue lines on the battery on the monitor with at the same time running my little 12 volt cooler refrigerator freezer combo I have a small one that holds a 32 pack which suits me just fine I can't say enough about it it's basically my only power source I bought two marine RV batteries that I'm using with an inverter but I didn't know I need a 200 amp hour fuse between the two I will be purchasing that next week thanks to your videos thank you! I have a double wide mobile home I actually have been using all my mobile electricity solar power from the van using it inside my house when I'm home! I'm sure the electric company is not real happy cuz they lowered my bill like $75 a month! I'm looking to get a second one I have a 200 watt version that I use to charge my cell phones and my laptops only because it charges faster and the big boy for the Big Boy 4 the Big Wattage 😁👍🍀🦃 I also have a small 700w toaster/coffee maker/frypan combo!(@amazon)

Going nuts seems like every vanlife channels are promoting these power /solor units. I'm currently freezing in my van wishing I even had a electric blanket. Ruff new beginnings here. I will look into this brand as it seems to be more affordable than other brands even then long way to go before I could buy it. I need to find a solution or it will be back to sticks and bricks for the winter. The video was great, you gave us a knowledgeable rundown much appreciated.

Hi Matt.....hope you are feeling better. I have a radiant heater, gives me 500,1000&1500watts as a choice. Use it all winter in Northern Michigan. Does a fine job at 500 watts unless it's in the 20s during day and teens at night for 3 days at a time. Then 1000 watts is needed. I tend to like the cold, so me being a thermal heating unit myself still at 65 along with my kitty thermal heating units, generally velcro to me be it in bed or just generally speaking. I stay warm enuf.

Matt, those are 100W USB C ports, you can just plug your macbook into it and bypass using the AC charger (which is technically a DC to AC charger). You don't need to use your charger with that unit. AC, and using the inverter is inherently less efficient due to the conversion. Just plug your your Mac's USB C cable in and you have the biggest charger available and it's WAY more efficient. Cheers from Connecticut.

The reason for being heavy is that it has a massive battery. For reference the more expensive but smaller capacity Delta 2 is only 1024 watt hours. This is is over 1400 watt hours. Edit: Vtoman do smaller capacity power stations. For example the Jump 600 and 1500x

The best value per buck is to assemble it yourself: Eve LiFePO4 batteries 3.2V 280A go each for $100. That's $400 for 3584 Wh. That's ~$110 for 1000 Wh!!! Then for them you buy a $75 Invertor, $50 BMS and $50 charger. And you get 3584 Wh for around $600 total. That's not beatable atm from what I observed. If you don't need that powerful batteries, then second choice falls for Eve LiFePO4 batteries 3.2V 105A $60. You get 1344 Wh for $240 only! Then again you buy a $75 Invertor, $50 BMS and $50 charger. Total is 1344 Wh for $400!!! Those are the two best options. You can't go better than that. Unless you have some special supplier, but the approach is exactly the same: assemble it yourself.

@nickallen13
@nickallen13 10 ай бұрын
It uses like 3 or 4 watts when idle, so just being on doesn't use much. When I get home tonight, I'll plug some equipment into the wall and check it with my watt meter I have. Then I'll plug that same stuff into the VTOMAN and see how much more the VTOMAN says it uses. It's possible the inverter power usage may go up a certain percentage as load increases, not sure.

The weight will be a substantial difference, these VTOMAN's are a bit heavy/bulky. I have the 1000, I love it. The black Friday sales made it 50% off. Not sure what the price difference between VTOMAN and ECO are, but buying two of the 768's (if charge time is important) might be your best bet.
