If you're only ever going to do one Ferrata in the Dolomites, make it this one.
After hearing about it for years, in August I went to climb Ferrata Ivano Dibona.
I feel like this tour has everything you'd ever want from a Dolomiti Via Ferrata.
It starts by following an abandoned cable car, crosses over a 30m famous bridge (the one from the Cliffhanger movie), and takes you back in time when climbing among old WWI ruins. It's just awesome.
I've done a fair share of Ferratas in the Italian Dolomites, and Ivano Dibona is definitely one of the best.

About 33 years ago my dad took me to this via ferrata. I was about 16. He took me to so many vie ferrate that season that my memories are quite blurred. Of course I do remember the bridge. I was so scared and he was so careful that we would not only use the usual ropes and carabiners to tie ourselves to the fixed ropes, but he would also tie me with a climbing rope for extra safety. My dad made me explore amazing places in the dolomites. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video that has allowed me to revisit those beautiful places.

I loved this video! Informative with lots of details, good camera shots. Nice work!! Is there any chance that you still have those excel files, where you wrote down the infos and difficulties atc of the via ferratas? If you have these, could you okease send it to my mail? It would help a lot for us! We are planning our first tour to the Dolomites :) Thank you very much!

@@xXboy93Xx Yeah, the colours were the Via Ferratas that were close to each other and I could group them in one weekend, Marmolada had a colour of its own but that can also be linked with delle Trince

Hello Cris, Thank you for this beautiful video! Would you mind sharing the list if Ferratas and their difficulty rating? I wonder, if I know you from the Tour de Mt. Blanc video...where Viv made this funny comment;) I had to do it in the peak season due to other commitments and went on alternative hikes away from the main route. It was worthwhile and inspired by you guys!!! All the best:)

I disagree on one point :) Descending on scree can be very fun, it's basically a free ride down. I absolutely love it ! But going up.... is hell. However it depends on the granulation of the scree, I mainly refer to that type of scree that is unstable.
