There’s one Via Ferrata that stands above the rest and in this case, it’s literal.
As part of a KZbin series I'm doing 'Rating the best Via Ferratas in the Italian Dolomites', in September I set out to climb Marmolada's highest summit, Punta Penia.
I was sceptical of going alone at first, since every classical route to Marmolada's summit seems to go over a glacier, however, once I studied the Cresta Ovest route I noticed that it crosses a dry glacier - where the crevasses are visible.
Cresta Ovest isn't one of the hardest Via Ferratas in the Italian Dolomites, but it is the highest and the views don't disappoint.
I'm climbing the 7 Summits from sea level and to sea level, watch the video below to find out more:

Amazing vid, as usually on your channel 😊 Just fyi. I am shocked, because I did same route in 2016 (just descending via 2nd glacier)...it was august 2016 and there was more snow/ice during ascend then you had...for me very sad to see how glaciers disappear, not only in Dolomites. However, your video is great, as usually, keep it up 😊👍

Maybe good to know: to get up Marmolada you don't have to cross a glacier if you don't want to: there is a another Via Ferrata connected to this one starting from the other side of the mountain in the Passo Ombretta.

if u come down when someone is going up in the narrow ladders, what do u do?

I think going down generally has priority. If you see there is someone climbing up then you could wait but if you only see them half way then they should go back down.
