The name of Joan of Arch in French is Jeanne D'Arch. You pronounce it sort of like 'Shan D'Ark' It means Jeanne from the bridge litterally. Perhaps it means something else entirely but I do believe it might be Janne from Archen and that she is actually from Belgium. A country with a large French segment.

I think you're saying it correctly with the French Pronunciation. In English we say Joan of Arc.
