You highlighted the wrong vineyard at 0:47. La Romanee is not the same vineyard as the monopole vineyard Romanee Conti from which DRC takes its name

Rare and expensive is just rare and expensive, that isn't the best. The best is flavor, quality.
@jacob9540 Жыл бұрын
It is rare and expensive because it is one of the best in the world. They select only the highest quality grapes for use in their top flagship wine, therefore they cannot produce much of it.

@@jacob9540 Wow that's some elitist thinking there. Keep listening to what the masses tell you to think. And don't bother considering you're paying for a label. Not everything that is "The Best" comes with a high price tag. Some "best" comes from only hard work in your own backyard.

How can you say such a thing? It is so subjective. That’s why I don’t respect account too much on Robert Parker’s point system. Everyone know that Parker smokes and has severe gout. He chooses Wines Heinicke hall to penetrate is tobacco laced senses

Curious, but one of (if not) the best wine on entire Earth comes from La Pampa province, in Argentina. Some french grapes species were sent to the south of the province, due to unique conditions and obtained atonishing results.

. . . Wishful thinking on your part … that’s why you hardly ever hear about anything about them. For a start, they seem not to age to any discernible degree after a mere decade-?!? Good to improving ; as indeed most wine-makers are, but that is all.

. . . That, is, exactly what I stated … ‘ Good ‘ to ‘ improving ‘; however not at the ‘ RdC ‘ level - they exceeded ‘that’ about 500 hundred years or more ago. What is the best red wine you have ever experienced ?.. and beyond just a ‘taste’ of .

There is no such thing as the best wine in the world
@lucasziegler25003 жыл бұрын
I agree. It really all depends on personal taste, what type of wine, with which course you're drinking it, etc etc... Yet some wines are particularly excellent and kinda outweight the rest! Romanee Conti seems to be so! Also French wines due to tradition, large and unique know-how, particular soils and climate will generally produce really good wines. However, with my Raclette or Fondue i'll still prefer a nice white wind from Savoie region rather than a white one from Burgundy haha

I find it strange in the wine community that a grape from one property is considered so much better than one right next to it right on the other side of the property line. History and prestige sell more than actual good wine.
@trout36852 жыл бұрын
Well some grapes within the same property are better than others.

You must understand the concept of terroir. It is precisely because of the specific soil of Romance Conti that this wine is so well appreciated !

there is no objective answer here. I'm partial to bordeaux blends, and the best wine IMO is 2010 Haut Brion

@Taranis Neither have I, I didn’t mean it in a condescending way. I’ve never even been lucky enough to try a 1st or 2nd growth Bordeaux.
