I'm sorry man, the people who argue against Lebron being the best, have some of the worst takes. I'm in the category that believes that Jordan is better than Lebron, but people like this dude that try to bring Lebron down always have the worst takes. You're gonna say Lebron had to build his own teams to win championships. It doesn't make him look worse to me, it makes him look better to me. He didn't have the luxury of having a GM that was able to build good teams around him. I also thought Lebron actually sucked as a GM and wished he stopped forcing these trades that would handicap his team's future for mediocre players, but he just couldn't trust some of these GMs. Jordan hated Krause but that chubby little dude was able to trade OLDEN POLYNICE 8th pick for Scottie Pippen 5th pick and draft Horace Grant 10th pick in 1987. Then he traded Jordan's best friend Oakley in a bold move for bill cartwright that helped make the team better around Jordan. Jordan had a competent organization around him, Lebron with Cleveland did not. Jordan didn't have to worry if the Bulls would get good players, Lebron did early in their careers.

A few things: 1) LeBron did not "pick" his teammates when he played in the 2007 Finals. 2) OG was correct. Antawn Jamison, at 33 years old, was traded to the Cavs mid-season in 2009-10. He was an All-Star only twice throughout his career and those selections were 3 seasons apart. 3) Mo Williams averaged 17 ppg in back-to-back seasons on terrible Bucks teams. His one and only All-Star selection was in 2009 when he was LeBron's teammate, and he was only named an All-Star because Chris Bosh was unable to play in the ASG.

The next yr he went to the finals with Big Z, Gooden, Varejao, and Boobie Gibson. In 08 he took the Celtics to 7 games in the ECSF with Big Z and Delonte West. MJ had a real hand in developing Pip. You can’t zoom pass that. I understand everybody gets stuck in the ‘07-‘09 period of Bron’s career, we get it. He didn’t have a top 75 guy on his team. How many of those guys did Steph have this year? I believe the issue is that sometimes as the leader you have to find ways to maximize the talent around you. All those stories of MJ in practice were about finding out who belongs in the fox hole. As was mentioned earlier they didn’t have the luxury of saying ship out Andrew Wiggins (bc he’s not proven) & bring in K. Love (who was what…proven? Idk, I hear he wasn’t). I know to a lot of people MJ has been placed on a pedestal but as someone who grew up disliking that guy (Penny fan) I understand his acclaim. And in this particular leg of this debate it was about leadership. If you analyze things objectively you see who truly squeeze the most out of the “least”. This post is too long as is so I won’t go into each and every player but start comparing player to player (I.e. Craig Hodges, John Paxson, Steve Kerr to Boobie Gibson, Damon Jones, David Wesley, etc…) there’s more than just Pip & even if we stopped there MJ did more w/ him than Bron has with Wade/Kyrie. Andrew Wiggins was the number 1 overall pick in the draft; LeBron chose to ship him out before trying to get anything out of him…but maybe that’s the fault of the front office. Anyway, when Pippen arrived in CHI he wasn’t the Pippen that made the top 50. Much like Wiggins in GS all that “talent” was untapped. CHI opponents are on record talking about the lack of respect they had for Pip. Had it been today Mike would’ve requested he be shipped out. Instead he chose to take advantage of the areas Pip was good and while he worked with him to improve his areas of weakness. Pippen gets a lot of credit for being the reason Jordan won and I understand the angle but I can’t delete from my memory the same Scottie Pippen in Portland with teams far more talented than any CHI team he played on failed to help win anything. With that being said: no player makes the NBA without talent. That’s a given. What this convo was really about was how star players interact with the talent on their teams. Some players choose to exile guys; some chose to abandoned guys; others choose to take what their given and find a way to get the best out of whoever’s around them.

@@ausar09 peace god, the context I was speaking from was being able to build a team through the draft and having the ability to pick players who went through the collegiate process that made players more mature and polished, instead of drafting on potential and waiting to see what you have in the time that the player could of been in college. There are always exceptions and even extreme disasters to use as examples but guys in the past time periods understood what they were playing for and had pride in the profession. There’s plenty of player movement but I would argue that many of these organizations and especially the players don’t develop a culture to build a “team” and rely on talent to win. That strategy has lebron at 4-6, still successful but given the stability older legends had and a more polished game, lebron could have achieved more. Jordan is still better tho, it’s not just about the ring count.

- MJ is MY Goat. But if someone wants Lebron, no problem. He's top 3 or 2. But him joining MIA is a smart move. Wade won a ring 5 years before. Pat Riley is running the organization and won several with the LAL and at the time 1 with MIA. Plus, it's MIAMI -- warm and sunny (unlike Ohio, obviously). The only real problem? The way he left when he televised it. Other than that, Lebron is great player. He's NOT a great GM, lol. Plus, it's also about team construction. So the GM needs to put the right players around MJ and Lebron to elevate a 1 chip team to a 2, 3-win chip team.

@@legendarywiimaster He went 22/7/7 5TOs on 35% shooting, got out played by parker 25/5/3 on 57% he’s not even a top 10 PG all time. The defense and the team did their part holding the spurs under 85 3 of 4 games and Lebron missed the game tying 3 force OT in game 3. Plus they actually held Duncan in check.

@@legendarywiimaster Last 3 games 2014 finals Game 3 14 points 0TOs in the 1st quarter, he only scored 8 points the next 3 quarters with 7 TOs Game 4 9 points in the first half, heat was blown out by 19 at halftime and he stat padded the rest of the game. Game 5 1 FG in the 2nd quarter to bring the heat within 5. He didn’t score again until the heat was down 21 with 4 mins left in the 3rd and shot 1-6 with Kawhi on him.

MJ had Scottie and Rodman, Kobe had Shaq and Gasol, Magic had Kareem and worthy, Bird had Mcchale and Parish, Steph had Klay, Dray, and KD. Nobody has ever won a championship, let alone multiple. Without all star and hall of fame caliber teammates. Lebron is top 5 all time, If not higher.
