We know this has been a confusing and stressful time for those of who who have followed the channel. It was DogCatManVan, you loved it, we changed it, you got mad, we changed it back, and we started an entirely new channel. Are we saying goodbye to DCMV forever now? Will we be posting full time to two channels? For anyone who's still a bit confused...here is a full catch up and explanation to what the heck is going on!

Personally, I like the two channel setup. It makes sense. I was hooked on the first video of DCMV, having found it while I was building my own van. Ben's info was super useful. I'm even more hooked, "hookeder?" 🤔 on Out There. You two are hilarious, and your adventures are always a pleasure to watch. Disney is very good at during people, so be prepared. I love the out there sticker! 🤣🤣🤣 I always respected Ben for his "this is how it is" vanlife realities and yes, sly sarcasm. There's another channel I won't directly plug that focuses on barely surviving (and a movie connected to it) that is very discouraging. You guys show the fun and positive side of everything without white washing and drama-rama. You're (gasp!) a good example for a lot of people. A better example than the 'barely survivers' and 'glampers' for those of us who are aware of our choices and thriving about as well as most people. Now that I've dumped that responsibility on you, I'm going to have more coffee.

Hi Ben, If you cross subscribed both channels it would add a “Subscriptions” section at the bottom of each channel’s main page with an easy to click on button to the other channel’s main page. That way I can jump from one channel to the other without typing anything. Very handy as I mainly watch you guys on my TV. ❤

Ben, you definitely ARE a director. With every new video I'm blown away by the cinematography. Seriously. From the under water shots of snorkeling to the beautiful slow motion footage of the wild horses, this content is absolutely a cut above all the other TY channels I watch. Personally, I think "Out There" should have been a series name for the adventure videos on the channel DCMV. That way you don't have to walk away from a much larger audience that you've taken years to grow. You'd then have one place for both video genres so the people that discover you through either the builds or adventures, and want to see more content of yours, don't have to switch channels to find it.

Have you thought about setting up a payment option that would allow you to take a payment that would allow you to actually visit that person/persons who paid so you can maybe introduce yourselves, give a tour of the van and give other individuals a idea of what they may need to do something like this...let others feed off your energy and positively forward thinking outlook when attempting this sort of venture..offer consulting services to help those who aren't as hands on as you two are...get paid to show up and show people how to start a adventure...remember..many people are like your parents...unaware of the process..like how to find your ever-changing account profile name...anyways....have fun...

Vanlife may not be what it was at the height of the pandemic, I think vanlife has just slowed. With inflation increasing the cost of rent, mortgages, food, and every product needed to live more and more people will be going mobile to try to survive these expensive times vanlife may be making a big resurgence. I could not live in a van, it is too small, that being said I am planning a DIY overlander/expedition type rig for full-time living with a living area of 5.6 m X 2.5 m (18.4' X 8.2') which should be adequate. Heavily insulated with 3-4" of foam composite panels for the walls, roof, and floor, 5,000 watts of tippable solar on the roof, 30,000 Wh of LiFePO batteries, all electric, an electric incinerating toilet. The entire inside walls, cabinets, countertops, the bed, shelves, etc will be built with foam core composite panels with a real wood maple veneer and integrated reinforcements where hardware will be mounted to keep the weight to a minimum, zero plywood or aluminum framing. The heavy insulation will allow for a smaller mini-split air con unit and small in floor hydronic heating using an electric tankless water heater and circulator pump as the heat source, no expensive diesel heaters or cheap heaters of questionable quality. Water will be filtered and UV sanitized before going in the freshwater tank to keep the entire system clean. I will also have a drawer dishwasher and front load cloths washer/dryer combo, the reason being is that hand washing using significantly more water, the dishwasher uses only 8 liters(2.1 gal) of water for a full cycle, front load washers use very little water as well. My rig is going to focus on lightweight/strong materials, efficiency, and energy independence in the habitat.

I was wondering what happened to you guys. I watch KZbin on my TV so I can't go into description but I can go into your channel find videos recommended channels which I see you do not have set up. Just a suggestion add your new channel and the suggested channels or other channels. Hey glad you found us again! We tried to add the new channel to DogCat's featured/suggested channels but Out There doesnt come up in the search function. I researched this problem and it said sometimes you wont find new or small channels if the search results are too great, so we need to just give it time. Other viewers have said that if they subscribe to the new channel via their phone or computer, they can access it on the tv no problem, so that might just have to be the way for now...until we get a little bigger and come up in the search functions better.
