Finding a good space near where we live in Illinois is tough... I've been looking on and off for years and it's rare that I find anything that's even close to what I would need for just myself... A lot of places that seem like they might work expicitly say "no automotive repair" right on the ad. Of course I'm not planning to run a business, so a higher cost is a bit harder to justify for me which limits options a lot. At any rate, if you do find a place and need help defraying costs a bit (and there's an extra bay/space), I might be interested in subletting/subleasing some space. Working out of a home garage is convenient, but it definitely has some downsides depending on what you're doing. Plus I'm sure you're Mom would be relieved to have her garage and driveway back. 😁

Did you try unplugging the maf to see if there's a difference? Cleaning the nissan ones sometimes don't work. Had same issue on my 32, and the solder inside the maf units break away and need to be resoldered.

MAP is better if you plan to tune, MAF is better if you are not gonna get it tuned. I do not EFI tune myself and am cheap, so got a MAF car to mod but that type of older prom EFI is lame anyway. Someday I'll get a Holley EFI for it maybe...

Your issue is probably internally on the board of the MAF. The RB20 MAFs are notorious for have shitty solder joints on the inside where the board is. If you scrape off that silicone and pop the square top off, you can reflow all the cracked solder joints and it should work mint.

@@PrizzaMikeit will be. I had identical symptoms on my R32 GTS-t. Reflowed the solder joints on the MAF board and it never had any issues up until I moved to a link. These MAFs have a bad reputation because of those solder joints cracking in every single unit..
