So everyone including myself have been waiting to hear back from PWS for a solution to continue making videos in the reserves they manage. For 5 years I have been making content on crown land and sharing the history of the state that is intwined in my blood. But Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife service seek to shut me down, nuzzle me and stop me sharing my adventures.

The tracks and adventures that Rob brings to the viewer are what makes Australia the destination for those who are adventurous and want to see a very special place in the world. One can't but laugh when listening and seeing the ridiculous treatment of a very talented and sincere bloke who shares his country with the world. You would think that the Tasmanian government might offer Rob a contract as an tourist and environmental councilor so to have a better understanding of what is out there and possibly enhance the tourism economy of Australia. Rob, you've got close to 64 thousand subscribers, many no doubt based in Tassie. Why not start a petition to allow people to do what you do without the heavy hand of bureaucrasy on your shoulder. It can work. My dad back in 80s started a petition to allow people to fossick and walk their dogs in a state park here in Victoria. He got his wish.

Pro tip: talk to people in whatever political institution supervises the Parks & Wildlife Services. They're usually A LOT more approachable than most people who aren't interested in politics think. Especially topics like this that aren't connected to partisanship, really, can be dealt with surprisingly fast if you talk to the right people. If it brings positive publicity to the region, I'm sure there will be people who want to help.

Mate, no other words for it beyond 'unfair' and 'insane'. Boggles the mind how creators do so much to showcase the landscape in a positive and professional way, for arguably much lower overheads than state-level tourism pushes, and all the bureaucrats can do is wave hastily-applied legislation and get the dates wrong. There should be a partnership program, not spanners in the works. Keep doing what you're doing, Rob.

Control control control, the chosen few who get to tell everyone else that this world we live in can only be enjoyed by their rules! Maybe parks should concentrate their efforts on the losers that destroy these areas and not the ones who want to explore, enjoy and bring the beauty of Tasmania to the rest of the world. I fear this is a step that many countries will try to cram down the throats of the ones that want to actually get out of the house and explore instead of being puppets to the computer age. If they had half a brain, they’d be sponsoring you and Levi. Bloody righteous do-gooders think they are the only ones who can save the world. Funny how it’s always the little operators that they put the bureaucratic hurdles on, and the big operators liaise with the powers that be. You guys should start up a crowd fund or something to get a lawyer and take this sht to the high court. This is just a classic case of over reach and maybe even just fragile ego's trying to justify their own bs, they really need to be held accountable. lol no lawyer with half a brain cell would take that job. And the ones who would are just there to get paid. @petecabrina

@@beid777 would be about setting proper precedent as to what people can and can not do and where, whether the rules are realistic in comparison to other states, whether there have been over reach here and a witch hunt, just because a few people want to complain because someone has kicked a rock over. Or you can just bend over and take it I guess, which you seem happy to. If you did not notice certain governments and states are slowly encroaching on your ability to do just about anything in parks, it is completely neurotic, as if nature is this fragile thing, while the rest of the world burns and is being polluted. The real fragility is the humans which have become head cases and have no perspective whatsoever.

The places Rob travels to in Tasmania, 99.99% of people could only ever dream of because they are so isolated and remote. If parks and wildlife understood that the majority of people travel to certain parks these days based on arms reach of comfort, safety and convenience only, which is why Rob’s adventure videos are so important for people who are unable to see these amazing parts of the world for themselves. These nature reserves around Tasmania are and will always be inaccessible just like places which include the Darien Gap, PNG etc.. as many explorers and civilisations have learnt beforehand. Plenty of people go exploring, and don't have illegal fires, and don't steal things that don't belong to them, and don't fly drones in places they aren't meant to due to it being wildlife habitat. I love what you do & I kind of do similar here in New Zealand, only I do it stealth & don't flash it across the internet. You have attracted too much attention & now the powers to be have caught up with you. You can just keep on doing it for your own benefit without showing the world. You need to decide if it is the love of chasing & finding the gold & being in the great out doors, or the attention seeking you crave by showing the world what you are doing & any money you make from you tube along with the gold you find. The powers to be are now wanting their 10 cents worth. Sad, but true.

They aren't insane conditions, they are maintaining their corrupt protection racket while presenting a superficial position of being fair - despite the conditions obviously being impossible to directly abide by. You've taken the only viable step you can take to counter their corruption - beat them at their own game by superficially operating beyond their mandate.

It's absolutely BS what they have done to you and Levi and possibly others that do similar stuff like you guys. The videos you two produce absolutely showcase Tassie so beautifully and you guys seem to take care of where you go, ok, so you used some dead branches for fires, big deal, you guys embraced a low impact on the environment attitude, which in turn encourages other to also do the same. It's absolutely ridiculous

Its unreal that they don't understand the exposure you're giving their parks and areas. I don't even live in Tassie, I'm a kiwi and your vids have me hooked cos Tassie bush looks like Kiwi bush. Dumb if they don't understand what you're doing and they want to restrict you on that. Maybe we should get a petition together to let them know how foolish they are... Free PR, come on people.

These guys from PWS seem to have an agenda other than what is best for the environment or the people who use it and ultimately pay there salaries. I would argue that your activities are actually helping the environment. Many viewers watch your videos showing the beautiful scenery and how to have a very low impact when camping or prospecting. You are setting a great example for the rest of us. More importantly, you are acting as an advocate for the environment. When analyzing their stance carefully, it certainly sounds like they do not want people like me with serious health issues and physical limitations to enjoy the parks or wildlife since we can only hope to do it through the lens of a camera. On another note, thanks for the great content! I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. If PWS keeps this up, they will soon be as bad as the over zealous idiots from the Environmental Protection Agency in the U.S.

It feels like an abuse of power almost. I wish that parks tas could work with you both and put some sort of legislation in place for you both to be able to continue doing what you love. What I love the most, which shows both yours and Levi's passion for what you do is when you stop to look at a tree or a plant and talk about it, I have learnt so much from watching you and love when you go into the parts that hold a lot of history, tracing their steps. The Tassie wilderness seems untouched and pristine and seeing you both going into these places and filming it is magical. If Parks and wildlife want to protect it, thats good, they can put something in place to allow yourself and Levi permits, while leaving it closed to the public- even if they went in with you as a part of the process to talk about it and open up conversations. But if its just for raising revenue for them, then thats sad because its clear in every video how much passion and respect you both have for these places. I truly hope it works out for you because I feel experiencing these places through yours and Levi's videos is healing and I really enjoy them.🥺🙏🏻

They don’t care about what you’re doing out there bro they only care that it’s giving the rest of us ideas. It’s not about money, they make it seem that way cuz making it about money makes it believable and conceals their true motives. The real reasons are far more sinister. I watch your vids and it makes me feel like I too can be free, that I don’t have to work a job, that I can do what I enjoy and still provide for myself and my family, and that scares the bejeezus out of them because they need you at that job wasting your life to feed their system. They don’t want people to become adventurous and go explore and be happy, they needs us working, another cog in the machine because without cogs their whole machine falls apart. We love you guys and I personally have a lot to thank y’all for. When I finally snipe my first piece of gold y’all will be the first to know!! Thank you again for sharing your adventures with us🙏🙏🙏
