Definitely rips now! I am very surprised your temps are that low. That motor is not 4s rated. Hobbywing 3660 2200kv is the 4s rated motor. The 3652 4000kv might only be rated for 2s. But you just proved it can be done!

It definitely moves now lol motors can handle a lot just as long as you dont over heat them its rated for 3s no problem this is such a light rc for its size I figured it wouldn't be a problem at all and it does good. I know Traxxas is using a lower kv motor and will gear it up but this fit nicely and was cheap

It won't last. It's not the weight it's the KV, 4000 is far to high for 4s . It won't last long , even the ez run 3660 3150kv won't last much longer on 4s and it's a 3s rated can

I didn't know that ESC was capable of 4s, is it the G2 version? I have the version before they came out with the G2 and I've always thought 3s was tops. But awesome job install, looking like the factory or better. Thanks for the content battle

Its rated for 4s but they do recommend a lower kv for 4s lol I know it could take it and this rc is so light I figured it shouldn't be a problem pushing this around and I was right the temps aren't bad at all and its hot outside here I can gear it down too and it will still be fast and fun I am sure 65 they claim will be on a speed pinion but I ran a whole pack without over heating. Yes its the G2 version as they advertise the better heat dissipation and it seems to work thats a tight space but it works

Not really if you look this already has the metal diffs and h.d. drive shafts the only thing I saw was metal parts like the drive shaft and wheel hexes and of course track tires not knobbies just as long as its holding together even if there was something better why change until it breaks plus its not out yet I already have my vxl

Nice man! Not to beat a dead horse, but thus is the type of speed that should have been released stock for that price point Also, the fact that you only spent $80 for that combo is basically a slap in the face from Traxxas…could have easily used a motor/esc combo to hit high 40’s/low 50’s RTR

That 3652 motor is only good for 3s, you're going to blow it up on 4s. I'd look for at least a 3670 motor for safe 4s running. Otherwise, great video!

So far so good if you look it up they have metal gear diffs and the h.d. drive shafts already and I am not seeing excessive wobble out if the center drive shaft I am sure they will have a 3s hop up kit for it just like other cars so I do believe from what I see its not going to be a problem

@macmccartney5760 motor can handle just about anything you throw at it I ran 6s through my Vendetta never blew it up. Just as long as you dont overheat them they can handle a lot the esc is more voltage sensitive its just a recommendation from hobbywing its not set in stone this rc is very light for its size

Yep buy a jato and put more money into it, cause stock it kinda sucks, or just buy any other brand and it will be faster, you should also mention the offset on the wheels makes it so you can't use any 1/8 scale buggy wheels otherwise it will be narrower

Thats your opinion there are plenty of people that think its just fine first off I can use this esc and motor anywhere how is that a waste? Pay more for the vxl then I run a channel on rc cars I buy whats new to check it out and add stuff for views but you are quick to jump in make a Traxxas hate statement and your statement is completely false so maybe that is why I didnt say that because I put different wheels on it 🤣🤣 they are off the Team Corally Syncro4 so maybe look past one video before you get so worked up and make false statements

Nice vid. I did a vxl ification to mine as well. Couple of things I did to get mine to hold a straight line and turn better. 1. turn collars down on shocks to make them stiffer. 2. I put a center diff locker in the car it actually evened out power delivery from front to back. 3. Install a gyro, tsm or avc radio system in the car. Will make a world of change! Not bad at all its like 90 degrees here you dont have room for huge fans I am not cutting the body up to do it if it was too high the esc would have shut off that is not a bad temp at all too many people assume 160 or 180 is max thats not true at all

Good to know that I’m nowhere near the danger zone Most of my 6s rigs hover around 100’s -120’s and I bash the crap out of them (Mojave exb, kraton 6s with max 6 G2 combo, TLR, fireteam, Kagama, notorious) 🍻

@matthewhendrickson4209 my cars at at 100 110 before I even get a battery in them some days I try to stay no higher than 180 though like the redcat Valkyrie was going a good bit over 200 and still going that was a factory setting it would go into thermal but I was surprised what it took after I looked up the settings on the programmer for thermal its like 230 yes thats a esc not a motor I do see a lot of comments online about temps and like you said 110 or 130 they can handle more I would never be able to run here in the summer if that was the case lol
