Grew up wild camping in the peak district but the lake district makes the peak district look like belgium and nothing beats camping on a lakeland summit or by a tarn, used to go for one week a year wild camping for about ten years and the thrill of walking in wainrights footsteps and camping at places I'd only seen in others videos or books will never leave me , these videos of yours are excellent and I'm working my way through them .

Thanks for watching the vids Mick, glad you are enjoying them.. As beautiful as the Peak District is.. the Lake District is just on another level! Can’t wait to get back up there.

Loving your channel Liam, your nailing this filming and editing lark. Well done and please keep up the great work. Tip for you when carrying a heavy pack , tighten those top straps on your shoulder straps so that they give you more forward momentum, i can tel that you are fighting to find that sweet spot in your walking gate as the weight of your pack isnt in balance with you and it should be aiding your forward momentum, you might not even be aware of it but the heavier the pack the more you will notice it...every little helps when it comes to improving your comfort and not expending unnesasary energy. 15 years of army life has taught me this and 45 years of climbing and hiking carrying heavy loads.
@GoodBlokeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you mate , and yeah I don’t know the right or wrong way to carry the pack correctly bud i just wack it on n crack on, I will make some adjustments next time as I really felt the weight on this trip.
@Olan...2 жыл бұрын
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors You are welcome...its always best to keep the heavy and dense stuff close to your body and low down because if the heavy stuff is high and you slip then you will hit the ground much harder and by keeping the dense heavy stuff as low as you can its much easier to compensate and quicker to regain your balance if you stumble or miss foot which tends to happen once fatigue sets in, You are smashing it and doing fantastic and its absolutely awesome that you have become an inspiration to other people already .

1st off before I forget, congratulations on your 1000+ subs 👏 👌 👍 As I mentioned on Instagram about your pack, I bet you could definitely feel the weight as you climbed/scrambled up them mountains ⛰️, bad enough when on even ground. You were lucky with the weather when you got there, cracking when that happens. You had amazing vistas on the 1st day, it looked awesome, the drone footage definitely adds another angle to the views too 🤙🤟 Sounded like something from the film American werewolf in London with the night sounds you had lol. Great vid buddy, see you on your next adventure in the series 🤟🤙
@GoodBlokeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy, yeah I certainly felt the weight a bit more than usual on this trip 😅 probably didn’t need to bring the chair either, that added not far off a kilo to the weight. Yeah weather was decent , the next part to this trip the weather certainly took a turn for the worse but loved it all the same. Glad I bit the bullet and got a drone finally, visiting all these cracking places, like you say it adds another angle to the filming. Thanks again mate, i appreciate the in depth comments take care 👍🏼👍🏼
